Persona 5 Tacticacarries over many gameplay mechanics from the original game and adapts them to the new combat system. The Showtime attacks seem to be the one mechanic that didn’t get adopted, but instead, there is a similar system known as Voltage abilities.
Voltage abilities are powerful super moves that each character has access to and can be upgraded. These special abilities can’t be used often, and each character’s abilities are unique to their play style. The entire team shares the same Voltage meter, making it an important choice in who will use their Voltage ability when enough energy is stored up.

How To Use Voltage Abilities
Voltage energy isgenerated through party members receiving or dealing damage.As Voltage energy is generated, the yellow star in the bottom right of the screen will fill up until it’s flashing, indicating any active character canuse their Voltage ability with an action.After an ability is used, the Voltage star will become empty and need to be filled up again;any Voltage earned when the star is full will be lost.
Each character’s Voltage ability can beupgraded within their skill tree,either adding additional effects or just more damage and area affected. After Voltage skills are learned through the main story,all characters will unlock their Voltage skill as a free and nonrefundable skillin theskill tree.

Each Phantom Thief has their own unique Voltage ability, and it’s important to know what each one does asmost missionswill only result in two or maybe three Voltage abilities.

Phantom Judgment:Damages and downs all enemies in a small areafrom a long-range,allowing for a One More action after use.
Brigantine Blitzkrieg:Damages all enemies in a long straight line,alsoinflicting shock.
Winds Of Time:A wide attacking wind skill thatdamages and pushes all enemies back from Morgana’s position.
Femme Fatale:Summons an ally to walk to an enemy todeal damage even if not in line of sight or behind cover;alsoallowing another action after this ability.
Like A Phantom:Summonstwo decoys to be targeted by enemiesbefore another character,allowing for another action after this ability.
Full Throttle:RidesYohanna in a straight line to damage enemies, knocking them out of the way,andmoves Makoto’s position to wherever the ability ends.
Noble Lady’s Invitation:Damages and hypnotizes enemies to move closer to Haruover a wide area.
Flag Of Freedom:Removes the benefits of cover from nearby enemiesandheals nearby allies.
