It’s been well over a month sincePayday 3was released, and now Starbreeze Studios has finally launched the game’s first major update. Although the update resolves some technical issues, core problems with the progression system still remain unchanged.

With update 1.0.1 now available, players who were not able to receive their pre-order bonus or top-tier edition items can now finally enjoy their extra cosmetic clothing in the game. This update also fixes the infamous glitch in the 99 Boxes level that could help you gain weapon XP much quicker than its normal rate.
This update weighs around 2 GB on PC. As the developer makes it clear, the primary focus of the patch is to fix the technical problems rather than touching any core system. Last month, Starbreeze developers revealed that they have heard the community’s concerns about the progression system, and they will attempt to implement new ways to tackle the issue, but it requires them to receive more feedback from the players over time.

There are no significant balancing changes in this patch as Starbreeze has only fixed a number of skills rather than changing their effect, but the developers made it clear that they continuously monitor the feedback and they are aware that some skills might feel a bit overpowered compared to other ones.
