Patrick Schwarzenegger is all set to star in the upcoming third season ofThe White Lotus. The black comedy anthology series has been a runaway hit for HBO and has won the Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Awards. With each season taking place at a White Lotus hotel in a different part of the country, the series has explored intense themes.
Schwarzenegger’s family was reportedly a huge fan of the show even before he joined the third season. They reportedly told him to audition for it and wondered why his agents had not put him through for this until he got a call during the third season. He said that while he was excited for the role, he did not tell his family until he got a confirmation.

He mentioned that watching the show was a family affair and he was questioned by his mother and sister about why his agents were not getting him an audition for this.
However, when the chance did arrive for him to audition, Schwarzenegger reportedly did not tell his family about the opportunity and waited for weeks in silence for a callback. When he was expecting a callback from the team, he reportedly cut his family off for a day. He said (viaPeople),
I was in Idaho with my dad [Arnold Schwarzenegger] and we go skiing every morning, and the audition was at 9 a.m. … and I was like, ‘Hey, I’m not going to go skiing today.’ And he was like, ‘Why?’ I was like, ‘I’ve got to do this audition thing… No one call me.’ I texted all my family, do not call me today, don’t text me, don’t do anything.
While he had reportedly submitted a video audition immediately when he got the call, he waited for months for a callback for the screen test and chemistry read, which he said was ‘agonizingly long’.

However, he must have done something right as he soon got the call that he had got the job. An ecstatic Patrick Schwarzenegger reportedly told his fiance first and he was in tears. He then told his family who all also burst out crying. He said,
I went and had lunch with my whole family the week later, and I told them and my mom started bursting out, crying. Then my sister started crying, and then I started crying, and then Abby started. It was like a domino effect of mayhem and tears.
