As part of the brand new Luminous Legends X, they released the likes of Goomy, Spritzee, Slurpuff and Xerneas intoPokemon GO, with the promise of adding even more new Pokemon, should players complete a global challenge.
They set the challenge of catching 500 million Fairy-type Pokemon within eight days, something which thePokemon GOcommunity smashed, thus unlocking Pancham raids for the following weeks.

For those unaware, Pancham is a pure Fighting-type Pokemon. This leaves it vulnerable to three different types.
Pancham, and its evolution Pangoro, are weak to Fairy, Flying and Psychic-type moves, which is very handy considering we’re in the midst of a Fairy-type event.

Should you Raid it?
Ultimately, if you want to fill your Dex, then the answer has to be yes. Theoretically, however, you’ll only need to raid it once, capture it, then walk it as a buddy or use Rare Candies.
Pancham’s evolution, Pangoro, could carve itself a niche in the meta though, with some decent stats and its Fighting typing. It will be interesting to see how this shapes out, but it may be worth raiding for a high IV one if you’re looking to potentially use it in the future.
