Palworld, the popularPokemon-inspired survival game, has become very popular on Steam. While it has been overshadowed of late byHelldivers 2, the game was pulling some impressive concurrent player numbers a few weeks ago and still has dedicated fans populating the world. While the game’s success was raved about to no end, it was not a perfect experience.

Palworld patch 0.1.5.0 is letting your Pals take a break and relax during your absence.

As with any live-service games, there were a host of bugs and technical issues that made playing the game a bit annoying. The latest patch to fix many of these updates is now available, but it seems to have created an entirely new problem.

The Palworld Update Glitch Seems to have Only Affected Xbox Players

The game had already been suffering from a long list of bugs and performance issues that needed immediate fixing.Patch 0.1.5.0aimed to do just that, with over 35 fixes listed in the patch notes. Two of the major fixes this patch introduced were the backup of saved data on the world selection screen and resolved the issue of unnecessary data accumulating in saved data. However, it seems the patch has also affected thePals in your base.

Palworld is to Pokemon What Helldivers 2 is to Starship Troopers, According to One Fan, and They Have a Point

The issue is now yourPalworldbases will be at a low-output mode as a default. A new ‘Relax’ setting has been added to monitoring posts which determines how actively your Pals will work. This new default setting puts their setting to low, making them far lazier, but also preserving their hunger and SAN stats. Not one of the worstglitches in the game, but definitely a funny one.

Players jumping into the game after this update are going to notice a significant drop in their output. Fixing this issue is not difficult, but it is tiresome. You will need to manually change the setting at each of your monitoring posts from ‘Relax’ to your desired output mode.

The Patch Does Bring Other Useful Fixes to Improve Gameplay

Along with the aforementioned major fixes, the new update also brings improvements to your Pal’s spatial awareness. This means your Pals will be able to move around much more effectively and not get stuck as often. Customizers can also rejoice as fully configurable keyboard controls are now also implemented.

When it comes to player improvements, it is now possible to perform long-hold actions during tasks with a single tap as a toggleable setting. Explorers will also have to curtail their wanderlust as the issue of no penalty for riding in prohibited hunting zones has now been fixed. Pals will now also be able to attack indiscriminately when using the “attack aggressively” command.

Pocketpair is putting in overtime to make surePalworldis a fun experience, not bogged down with too many bugs. While there are still issues present, the timely updates are appreciated by fans and will help to retain a player base.
