After about 1100+ chapters and episodes,One Piecehas finally started unveiling the mysteries and enigmas that Eiichiro Oda has been hiding for so long. Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast message marked the beginning of this revelation, and finally, fans have some answers about what Oda planned to do with his magnum opus from the start.

One such mystery that has gotten some answers and attention was the Void Century. It is a time period inOne Piecehistory that has no archaeological evidence in existence but still holds a lot of importance within the narrative. While there are still a lot of things left to unravel about the Void Century, the one thing that can be stated for certain is the violence that took place during the time.
Many aspects of Dr. Vegapunk’s broadcast talk about the not-so-ideal situation during the conflict between the World Government and the Ancient Kingdom, which incidentally led to the creation of the Void Century. Also, this violence and destruction are the main causes behind the creation of the Red Line.

The Brutality of the Void Century
The first and most important aspect that proves the Void Century witnessed the most intense brutality is the creation of the Ancient Weapons. The strength of the Ancient Weapons has been made pretty clear since Imu used one of them. Obviously, their creation had a motive behind it, and it certainly cannot be related to forming peace at that time.

Secondly, as seen before, a single use of an Ancient Weapon not only wiped out an entire island from its existence but alsoraised the seawater by 1 meter. InOne Piecechapter 1115, Vegapunk revealed that during the Void Century, the sea level was raised by 200 meters, which meant that the Ancient Weapons were used at least 200 times.
And finally, Dr. Vegapunk talked about a war that started 900 years ago and is still going on. War has never been a good sign, and if it has gone on for so long, that means that the consequences of it must be atrocious for the people who witnessed it.

Void Century’s Violence Led To The Origin of the Red Line
If Dr. Vegapunk’s message hinting about the violence during the Void Century holds any credence, then there is a big chance that this brutality was the reason the world sank in the first place 900 years ago, and it also gave rise to the Red Line and other aspects that protect the holy land of Mary Geoise on top of the continent.
It is certain that at least one of the Ancient Weaponslies in the hands of the World Government(Imu), and they used it to end the war at the time and also sink the world. This implies that the Ancient Weapon can literally cause changes in the geography of the world. While it cannot create lands, it can certainly destroy them in a way that it may create something new.

“It also ties with the thematic stuff”: Oda Can Give Dragon the 14th Logia Fruit in One Piece That Will Actually be Much Cooler Than a Mythical Zoan and it All Makes Sense
Thus, it is highly likely that the World Government used the Ancient Weapon and made geographical changes to form the continent of Red Line and removed the races that were already living on them to create theOne Piecehaven that it is today.
