One of the age-old questions thatOne Piecefans have been trying to figure out for years is who will be the final villain in the storyline. TheOne Piecenarrative has two major antagonists who have been portraying their roles in the best way possible, and one way or the other, they have a moral clash with the protagonist of the series, Monkey D. Luffy.
The first villain who is the most hyped by the storyline is Saint Nerona Imu, the supreme leader of the World Government, who sits on the Empty Throne. The second villain is Marshall D. As both characters have equal importance in the narrative, it is difficult to speculate who will fight Luffy in the end. However, according to a new hypothesis, it looks like the two antagonists might battle each other, and the victory will be rewarded to Blackbeard, making him the final boss ofOne Piece.

Thus, both characters experienced development within the story and went on to grow in their own ways. For Blackbeard, it was his rise to the level of aOne PieceEmperor, and for Imu, it was the political success of the World Government, which was secretly headed by him.

While the portrayal of two villains felt exciting at the beginning ofOne Piece,it has now become much more complex as the narrative has entered the final phase. Now the main question is who will be the final boss who is going to battle Luffy for the fate of theOne Pieceuniverse. And while fans try to figure it out, a theory hints that Luffy won’t have to fight Imu at all.
According to speculation posted byu/Karkinos_ABon Reddit, it is entirely possible that Blackbeard may battle Imu and defeat him to becomethe final boss of the series. This speculation comes from the fact that Blackbeard is also a member of the D. clan, and he is the protagonist of his own story. His goal is to conquer the entire world, and currently, it belongs to Imu, the supreme leader of the World Government.
