One Piece Chapter 1085 Spoilers
Chapter 1085, titled “The Death of Nefertari Cobra,” begins with a shocking confrontation between Imu and Cobra. Imu, referring to himself as Mu, reveals that the “D” people, including the enemies of the past, hold the key to the Void Century and the Poneglyphs. Imu hints that the spread of the Poneglyphs throughout the world may not have been a mistake but part of a deliberate plan. The Five Elders draw their guns, pointing them at Cobra, leaving him fearing for his life.
Imu then talks about Lily and demands to know her actual name. Cobra is scared and asks what his fate will be, to which one of the Five Elders replies that his fate was decided the very moment he saw Imu. Cobra replies that Queen Lily’s real name was “Nefertari D. Lily.” However, as soon as Imu hears the “D” in Lily’s name, a mysterious black shadow arrow pierces Cobra’s abdomen, seemingly from an unknown source.
In a surprising turn of events, Sabo emerges from hiding and launches an attack on Imu, shooting fire at him. However, Imu undergoes a transformation, turning into a gigantic monstrous creature with a massive mouth and sharp teeth. Imu swallows Sabo’s fire, and the Five Elders also transform into intimidating creatures surrounding Sabo and Cobra. They turn into creatures like birds, elephants, demons, and many other scary forms.
Sabo grabs Cobra, attempting to escape the throne room, while Imu relentlessly pursues them. In their escape, Cobra imparts a message to Sabo, urging him to relay to Vivi and Luffy that they are all “D” as well. A brief flashback reveals a childhood conversation between Ace and Sabo, discussing the significance of the “D” in their names. The scene then returns to the present, with Sabo and Cobra both severely injured, and the latter reciting Lily’s letter.
Cobra manages to block Imu’s attack, sacrificing himself to protect Sabo and allow him to escape while telling him to protect the Poneglyph. Sabo calls out to Cobra, but the scene cuts to a few seconds later, showing Cobra lying lifeless on the floor. Meanwhile, Wapol witnesses the events through a hole in the wall, catching Imu’s attention. Panicked, Wapol starts to repent his actions.
Shortly after, a message reaches the Levely meeting room, announcing that King Cobra and King Wapol will no longer be attending the meeting. In another room, Vivi is held captive by CPO members, including Lucci, Jabra, and Kalifa. Jabra informs the others about the recent happenings in Mary Geoise, including the actions of the Straw Hat crew and the conflict between Fujitora and Ryokugyo regarding slaves.
As the chapter concludes, Wapol barges into the room where Vivi is held captive, causing a distraction. Seizing the opportunity, Vivi grabs onto Wapol, and they make their escape. Wapol’s wife witnesses their departure and is left in shock. Vivi demands to know where Wapol is going, and he declares his intention to run to the ends of the world where no one can find him. Vivi pleads to go with him, leaving Wapol’s wife stunned by their sudden escape together.
