In the latest episode, the former came face-to-face with the Red-Haired Pirates. The two pirate crew clashed against each other, with Shanks annihilating the Kid Pirates. His Divine Departure was enough to send Eustass Kidd flying.
Even though the Kid Pirates suffered a crushing defeat and their captain’s state is unknown, a new fan theory has surfaced, hinting him to be alive. WithOne Piece’s longevity, fans often create their theories, and Kid being alive, is the latest theory. The theory starts with the little girl in their ship who jumped aside upon Shanks’ Divine Departure.
Eustass Kidd Might Still Be Alive
After the massive impact of Shanks’ Divine Departure, Captain Kidd might be gone for good. But a new fan theory suggests that Eiichiro Oda might have already foreshadowed that the latter is alive. During the Shanks’ offense, there was a little girl on Kid’s ship named Daibu. She had sharp teeth like the Fishmen. She might be related to them and can swim. Kidd and Killer, being Devil Fruit users, would not be able to swim, and she could save them by taking them ashore.
On the other hand, if she is not a Fishman, Eustass Kidd might have an even greater form of support. Apart from being a pirate from the Worst Generation, he is also known for defeatingBig Mom. It was previously mentioned that the giants hated her since she destroyed a village on Elbaf and killed one of the captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, Jorul.
Even if few giants are loyal to Shanks, others might side with Kid out of their hatred towards Big Mom. Eustass Kidd might not know the Giants, but it may be their way of repaying the debt.
