While it’s been a long time coming, Sony finally revealed some of the information that we’ve been waiting for on the upcoming PS5. The presentation gave us an exciting look at upcoming PS5 titles likeMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and more, alongside several third-party and indie developers. As a longtime franchise tied to PlayStation, the next installment of theOddworldfranchise,Soulstorm, is officially making its way to Sony’s next-gen system.

DuringSony’s PS5: The Future of Gaming reveal event, developer Oddworld Inhabitants debuteda brand new trailer for its upcomingOddworld: Soulstorm, the next entry in the long-runningOddworldfranchise, and confirming that the title will be coming to PS5. The new trailer highlighted several of the game’s cinematic moments, while also showing some gameplay sections as Abe explores vast environments and tries to save his fellow Mudokons.

While there isn’t a ton to go off of just yet forSoulstorm, Oddworld Inhabitants stated that the game will allow players to “witness Abe’s horrifying conflict with a terrifying new machination,” in “a dark parable that tells an epic tale of a volatile society pushed to its limits.” In addition to the story,Soulstormalso “represents a big visual and cinematic leap” that “breaks new ground” for the series, according to Oddworld Inhabitants.
