Beenox, the developers ofCall of Duty’s PC versions, andNVIDIAhave confirmed that the latest GPU drivers for NVIDIA cards are causing various stability issues in the recently releasedCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.The latest driver release, 526.47, is reportedly causing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to crash on PC. In an email, NVIDIA said, “Yes, there is a bug filed for this game and we are working on a hotfix”. The company went on to express, “this is specifically why our latest Game Ready Driver wasn’t promoted or recommended for this title in the first place”. PC Gamer noted that the email sent to them by NVIDIA did not give a timeframe on exactly when a fix would be deployed for the issue.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launched on Friday, October 28th after players were able to jump into the campaign a week before release when pre-ordered digitally. Fans are still patiently waiting for the latest iteration of Warzone to be released, which Activision has confirmed will be launching on November 16th alongside the brand new mode for Modern Warfare 2, DMZ.

Xbox and PC players were left disappointed by the launch of Modern Warfare 2, as it quickly became clear that crossplay was permanently enabled on the platforms.
