Upon its release eight years ago, It’s fair to sayNo Man’s Skyreceived a less than favorable response from players who criticized its lack of various features and multiplayer capabilities, but since then, the action-adventure survival game has evolved through the ranks from its initial spring into the gaming world.
It’s also fair to say thatHello Gameshas never stopped improving the title, from porting the game to new platforms to releasing frequent updates, No Man’s Skyhas rightfully earned a place among some of the best games played on Steam. Now, due to its largest update yet, the game has managed to pull in its biggest playerbase onSteamin only 24 hours.
Rockstar Games Appears To Be Working On A Public Mission Creator For Grand Theft Auto Online
Grand Theft Auto Online players may soon be able to create their very own missions.
The new Worlds Part 1 update for No Man’s Sky sees the entirety of its vast universe receive an overhaul from floating islands to different weather effects and waves to ocean tides. There’s also new flora and fauna and a giant splash of new technology, including a heavy mech with a flamethrower.

With so many players wanting to experience what Hello Games has cooked up over the weekend, more than 48,499 players have hopped into Steam to play the new update and that’s only in the space of 24 hours.
This sees the game’s largest player spike since August 2019. One of the many reasons for the influx of players is due to the chunky update being free, which of course can’t hurt, but it’s mostly returning fans who want to get to grips with everything this new update can offer since it’s so vast. Unfortunately, it’s only PC owners who can enjoy Worlds Part 1 for the time being, but Xbox and Nintendo Switch will surely be next.

If the current trends are anything to go by, it looks as though No Man’s Sky’s Worlds Part 1 update could see an even bigger increase in player count over the course of a week, especially due to a 60% Steam sale – the first time No Man’s Sky has seen a discount this large. But if you were thinking about picking it up, you have until July 29 to get in on the action.
