No matter how many cool features it’s got, a game can’t stand without nailing the basics.
However, getting the Antiquarian Card is not as easy as it seems. There are a few prerequisites that need to be completed first before you’ll be able to find this elusive card and complete Puck’s quest. Here’s what you need to do.

How To Increase Gear Score To 20
The first task to accomplish is to increase yourgear score to 20. If you have the quest, you’ll be able to see your progress at the top right corner of the screen. This seemingly simple task is harder than it looks.
Each piece of gear comes with its own individual gear score in Nightingale, and they don’t work additively. We’re not yet sure of the exact formula being used to calculate the gear score, but it won’t go over 20 if you only have a single item that has a 20 gear score. No, you’ll need to craft yourself acompletely new set of gear.
For this, you’ll need to make a new set of gear using aSimple Sewing Bench. Get the recipe of the bench from the trader in exchange for Essence Dust and craft yourself the full set of 20 Gear (Simple). To finally reach gear score 20, you’ll also need a good weapon.
I used theSimple Slingbowfor this purpose. Equipping the Slingbow with a complete set of 20 gear will allow you to reach gear score 20.
Recruiting a follower and stealing their gear can work to increase your base gear score, but we weren’t able to reach 20 with this method as none of the early followers have gear in that range.
How To Unlock Antiquarian Major Card
After you reach the required gear score, head to theAntiquarian Site of Powerdirectly above the trader. There is a door protected by anenergy fieldthat serves as its entrance.If you have a 20 gear score, you’ll be able to pass through. If not, you’ll be barred from entry.
Inside, you’ll find stairs that go down. There are multiple sets of stairs at the lower levels that keep going down. Make your way down slowly and deliberately, as you’ll have to deal with floors full of enemies swarming you.
Eventually, you’ll find yourself inside the depthsat the pedestal with a glowing blue button(pictured above). This is the Antiquarian Site of Power. Interacting with the button will summon a ‘Fabled Automaton Knight’ that serves as the boss of this area.Defeat the boss and interact with the altar to unlock the Antiquarian Card.
To defeat the boss, useranged attackswhenever possible and usekiting tactics. The knight is extremely slow and takes his time approaching, giving you plenty of opportunity to circle around the site of power and shoot using a crossbow. Having a follower to help you out is also invaluable, as the knight will get distracted by them often.

How To Craft Antiquarian Card
The task is not yet done. Talk to Puck after defeating the knight and fast-travel back to your base. You’ll first need to make aSimple Enchanter’s Focus. For this, you’ll need:
After you’ve made an Enchanter’s Focus, gather the following materials tocraft the Antiquarian Card.
Paper can be obtained via the Simple Saw Table. Ink can be crafted using the Mortar Station, and Essence Dust can easily be obtained by converting useless items in your inventory to dust.
Anything can be converted to Essence Dust in the inventory at a ratio of 1:1. Yes, even plant fibre.
After crafting the Antiquarian Card and a Forest Card at the Enchanter’s Focus, head over to the portal (the icon will be displayed on the map) and activate the cards to open the portal. This will open the way to the new Antiquarian Forest realm and the next part of the quest.
