A total of nine remastered maps from Titanfall 2 could be coming to Apex Legends in the near future, that’s if a data mined leak fromKralRindois to be believed.

KralRindo, a reliable data miner within the Apex Legends community, recently took to Twitter to announce that the latest patch added new files for an upcoming ‘Capture Point’ mode. Included in these files were nine maps, all featuring names from Titanfall 2’s multiplayer.

The latest patch, which went live on Thursday, September 29, added new files for an expected Capture Point mode. The upcoming game mode will likely be a limited-time mode, similar to the recently released Gun Run game mode. The maps expected to be included in the mode are as follows:

Of course, we recommend you take these details with a pinch of salt for the time being. Although Respawn has included these details in the game files, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the mode or maps will ever come to fruition.

Before the huge success of Apex Legends, Respawn developed Titanfall and Titanfall 2, which were released in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Despite being a hit amongst fans, and even winning over 60 different awards at E3 2013, the series couldn’t gain the same amount of traction that Apex Legends would go on to achieve.

As many fans are likely aware, despite being predominantly a Battle Royale game, Apex Legends is set in the same universe as Titanfall. Many of the characters and their accompanying lore relate back to the original Titanfall games. Due to this, fans have been hopeful that more and more features would one-day crossover from Titanfall to Apex, including Titans.

Respawnconfirmed last yearthat they had tested Titans in Apex Legends, but due to various balancing issues, there didn’t seem to be a clear-cut way to include them in the game. Whether or not Respawn is able to adapt the previous Titanfall multiplayer maps for Apex Legends, considering Apex doesn’t feature wall-running, will be interesting to see.
