Kevin Spacey Believes Netflix Exists Because Of Him
Kevin Spaceyhas for a long time been facing the brunt of public and media scrutiny ever since he was accused of several sexual misconduct charges. While he has since been cleared of all charges, the actor seems to have taken his Christmas tradition seriously.
After the allegations, Spacey started making videos of him as Frank Underwood in 2018. While he took a break in 2021 and 2022, the actor is back at it again, with the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in the video titledBeing Frank With Tucker.

While conversing with Tucker, he spoke again about being fired by Netflix, despite playing one of the most popular characters on Netflix, aka Frank Underwood in the hit seriesHouse of Cards. He yet again made claims to the iconic ‘tu-dum’ Netflix sound, hinting that it originated from his tap on the desk in the Season 2 finale ofHouse of Cards. He then added,
“It is bizarre that they decided to publicly cut ties with me on allegations alone, allegations that have now been proven false, because I don’t think there’s any question: Netflix exists because of me. I put them on the map, and they tried to put me in the ground.”

While it is true to some degree that Netflix became popular thanks to his award-winning show, several factors contributed towards the streaming giant’s popularity that have nothing to do with Spacey.

Is Kevin Spacey Back At Work?
After several talks of politics and running for the president, Kevin Spacey was then asked if he is really back to work, after being dropped and ignored by the film industry thanks to his sexual assault lawsuits. Bridging the gap between reality and fiction, Spacey as Frank Underwood replied,
“Oh, I’ve been back at work from the moment we started talking, Tucker.”

While Tucker then asked if that episode was real or fiction, the actor added,
“Well, it’s probably a little of both. I mean Tucker, what’s true, what’s false? What’s life, what’s art? What’s real, what’s performance? I love it when these things intersect, because then it gets interesting.”
