Among the most hated villains inNaruto, Danzo Shimura takes the case. This is especially true with his notoriety and menacing tact. From the Uchiha massacre to Third Hokage’s assassination, the fandom’s hate toward the character is justified.

But what would rile up most fans is the chain of wrongs he participated in. His control over Konoha and the clan massacre isn’t the end of it all. This is especially true with his involvement in his secret organization.
According to this theory, he may have capitalized on the Uchiha clan’s inheritance through unfair means to fund his organization.

This includes Sasuke’s inheritance specifically since he is the sole survivor of the massacre. The theory also points to the Uchiha clan’s possible legacy in the sequel as well.
Danzo used Sasuke’s inheritance to fund Root
Masashi Kishimoto left no stone unturned while creating Danzo Shimura’s character. He is one of the mosthated charactersin the series along with the Third Hokage. As a former student of Second Hokage, he carried a legacy of hatred and disdain toward the Uchiha clan.
But what’s truly unsettling is his dehumanization of the clan. His Sharingan arm and manipulation of Itachi highlight his diabolical nature. There is, however, more to his loathsome character.

Throughout the series, his actions are justified in the name of false patriotism. If anything, most of his deeds are detrimental to the citizens of Konoha. This includes his secret pursuits along with the organization Root.
His twisted ideals are a result of the Second Hokage’s xenophobia which was passed down to generations. Like Tobirama, he pushed the clan to its demise through his manipulation and control. But that’s not the end of it all.

Danzo might have used the Uchiha clan’s assets along withSasuke’sinheritance to fund Root. Despite Konoha’s failure to safeguard its children, one thing was certain. The Root leader might have cashed in on the Uchiha’s inheritance after his departure.
The organization is divorced from Anbu which means it would carry out missions discreetly. To fund it would be a tedious and odious task considering Third Hokage and Fifth Hokage’s surveillance. This also poses a burning question regarding the Uchiha clan’s legacy in the series.

Uchiha clan’s legacy and remnants inNaruto
Uchihaclan, as we all know, was the founding clan of Konohagakure along with Senju. Despite their undying love for the village, the clan was sidelined by Senju and the other villagers.
For decades the clan was subjected to discrimination under the garb of “Curse of Hatred”. While the clan reached its downfall with the massacre, it did carry a legacy and a treasure trove of secrets.
Barring the demonization, the Uchihas were a group of powerful people. Apart from possessing a formidable dojutsu, they owned several properties in Konoha. Most of this hasn’t been charted well enough per se. From the Senbei shop to the Naka shrine, the clan had several hideouts.
This also included the laboratory with the Sharingan collection at Mountain’s Graveyard. They also had astone tabletthat carried most of the secrets regarding the Mangekyou Sharingan. But other mysteries remain uncharted inNaruto.

Whether or not Danzo used the Uchiha funds to fuel his pursuits is unknown. What is certain is that his ideologies and belief systems were detrimental to Uchihas and Konoha’s citizens as a whole.
