While speaking toRadio Times,Chris Hemsworthstated, “Oh yeah, for sure,” when asked if he considers himself a feminist. He attributed his views on respect for women to his mother, who is a big feminist, and noted that his father also holds balanced and respectful views. In discussing his film,The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Hemsworth expressed that the “badass female characters” played by Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, and Charlize Theron were a significant reason for his interest in the sequel.
“The strength of it was in these three women and their performances, the heart and soul that they’ve blended through their characters,” he explained. Hemsworth acknowledged the historical imbalance in the portrayal of male and female characters, especially in the superhero genre, and emphasized the importance of achieving equality.

“I think the balance has been tipped for a long time heavily in the men’s direction. There are seven to eight male superheroes and one female in there. This is the opposite,” he remarked. Hemsworth expressed excitement about being part of a project that promotes gender equality, emphasizing that it should naturally be equal.

While speaking toGQ Magazine, Hemsworth talked about his portrayal of Thor inThor: Love And Thunder. The Marvel star confessed that the movie was far too silly for its own good and went into detail about what he did not particularly like about it.
”I think we just had too much fun. It just became too silly,” Hemsworth said about the movie. “It’s always hard being in the center of it and having any real perspective…I love the process, it’s always a ride. But you just don’t know how people are going to respond.
It’s a bunch of eight-year-olds critiquing my film. ‘We thought this one had too much humor, the action was cool but the VFX weren’t as good,’” he said. “I cringe and laugh equally at it.”
It is to be noted thatTaika Watiti will not be returning to directThor 5, something that many fans are happy about. Regardless, only time will tell whether Watiti will end up directing the next film, as it seems unlikely now since he is more focused onKlara and the Sun.
