The RAM-9 is one of many Submachine Guns introduced into Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, acting as an SMG variant ofthe RAM-7that arrived for Season 1. This SMG boasts anextraordinarily high level of recoil controlwhen compared to other options, along withexceptional mobility and handling. Though range and accuracy are on the lower end of its weapon category, the RAM-9 is an absolute beast on the battlefield due to itshigh fire rate and fast TTK. However, it can be made even better when paired with the best loadout.
Unlocking The RAM-9
The RAM-9 is a weapon first introduced as afree HVT reward in the Season 2 Battle Passfor Modern Warfare 3. This nifty Assault Rifle can befound in Sector B6. To acquire the RAM-9, you must first claim all the rewards in Sectors adjacent to B6. The fastest route to getting the RAM-9 is toclaim all rewards with Sectors B1, B3, and then finally B6.
Outside the Battle Pass, there are also two alternative methods to getting the RAM-9. The first is toextract it from Modern Warfare Zombies. The second is toacquire a Blueprint variant of it, either as a reward or via purchasing a Store Bundle.
Best RAM-9 Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone Build
Our recommended RAM-9 build is tailored for both Warzone and Multiplayer. Running the below attachments provides a boost in range, accuracy, and recoil control. However, this is at the cost of both mobility and handling. Be sure to make use of this build when running and gunning in Multiplayer, or jumping into the confined spaces of Fortune’s Keep Resurgence.

The best Perk Package for you may be entirely subjective. However, the Perks we have used for many of our other SMG loadouts are among the best considerations in the game. Start with theEngineer Vestto grant you an additional Perk slot, and then rockScavenger Gloves, Lightweight Boots,theBlacklight Flashlight, and theMag Holster. Doing so provides you with a loadout tailored for running and gunning, perfect for Core Multiplayer.
For Warzone, go with the following Perks:Double Time, Sleight Of Hand, Tempered, and Birdseye.
Recommended Secondaries
The RAM-9 is arguably the only weapon you will need to rely on when gunning opponents down for Core Multiplayer, thus eliminating the need for an additional Primary or even a reliable Secondary. With this being the case, you are free to run a Launcher like thePILA or the JOKR. Though they may not seem all too useful, both options are great for eliminating enemy Killstreaks.
When it comes to your Warzone loadout, ditch the Launcher and instead take a Primary weapon capable of performing in the long-range meta. Some of the best weapons you can choose from includetheBAS-B,theDG-56,theTAQ Eradicator,theBruen MK9,theMTZ Interceptor, andtheKATT AMR. Alternatively, if you want to try a new weapon, consider the BP50 - which also arrived for Season 2 alongside the RAM-9.
