Metaphor: ReFantazio Looks Like A New Breed Of Fantasy Game

Hashino aims to create a fantasy game that goes beyond empty worlds of fiction and helps players reimagine their lives.

However, as soon as you get the small task of saving the world and preventing the Day of Calamity out of the way, you’ll have some spare time to pursue more frivolous things.

One such pursuit is the option to take on Bounties. These are essentially huge monsters that roam the wilds outside the city that you can take on for a massive reward if you successfully kill each beast.

Initially, there aren’t many bounties you can take on, but the first one players will likely take onis the Maneater Manjula Bounty.

Recruitment Center In Metaphor ReFantazio

This offers a decent introduction to Bounties, and isn’t without its challenges, so here is a quick guide to help you hit the ground running.

How To Accept The Maneater Manjula Bounty

This will be many players' first bounty inMetaphor: ReFantasio, soit makes sense to explain how to pick up bounties.

These tasks become available when the player clears the Regalith Grand Cathedral Dungeon, and as soon as you complete this, you’ll be able to head to the Recruitment Center, which is in the same area as the Market Stalls and the courtyard with the stone faces.

Tradia Desert In Metaphor ReFantazio

Once inside, you can head to the kiosk and assign yourself any open Bounty; just like that, you’re a bounty hunter.

Before you head out in search of your bounty, it’s good practice to find the Ardea Informant, which is usually found in the Honeybee Inn. They will often have insider info on how to best handle each bounty.

How To Find The Maneater Manjula

Once you have taken on the Maneater Manjula bounty, you’re able to then head back toward Sunlumeo Street, and you’ll see a large archway leading out to the Tradia Desert. Make sure you have all you need, and once ready, head out into the wilderness.

Once in the Tradia Desert, you’ll need todefeat two packs of wild dog enemiesto lure out the Maneater Manjula. These aren’t all that tough, but you do also have towatch out for Sandwormsthat can pop out of the ground to catch you off guard.

Before you do take out the dogs and lure the beast out of hiding, scout the area, as you’ll find chests containing an Amethyst, and the Damascus Shamshir.

One pack is in the bottom right corner of the desert, and the other is in the top right corner of the map. As soon as you take out the last dog, the Maneater Manjula will surface, and the fight will commence.

How To Beat The Maneater Manjula

Before we get into the fight against the Maneater Manjula, we should discuss the best setup to use in the fight. This is the loadout I would suggest:

Healer (Backline)

Essential Moves/Set Skills

Knight’s Proclaimation

While this boss can be quite imposing if fought in a blow-for-blow manner, if you use some helpful buffs and draw their aggro, this is a fight that can be wrapped up very swiftly.

Begin the fight byusing your healer to cast Tarukaja on your Mage. This will allow you to cast an empowered ice attack such as Blitz, which is key, as Ice is the Maneater Manjula’s weakness.

Then, before your turn is out, you’ll want to cast Knight’s Proclamation, which will draw all individual attacks to your Knight party member, who can tank the hits.

10 Best Long-Running JRPG Franchises Ranked

JRPGs have been around since the advent of gaming, and they still persist today. Here are the ten best long-running JRPG series.

From here, the Lion will usually perform a debuff attack, lowering our attack and defense, but this won’t matter too much as you’ll be funneling all your damage through one party member. Then they will likely follow this up with a physical scratch attack, which your Knight resists.

Your second turn should play out the same: buff your Mage, use Blitz to deal damage, and then draw aggro with your knight. The only time you should break this cycle isif you need to cast a healing spell like Medito heal your party members, or if you need touse Patra to cure your poison status.

The Manjula will likely use its stronger Stinger Frenzy attack on your Knight, but by this point, you should be able to tank this hit and ride out the rest of the battle with ease.

Rewards For Defeating The Maneater Manjula

If you manage to defeat the Maneater Manjula, you will earn the following rewards for your efforts:

You’ll gain some petty cash and EXP for defeating the Manjula, but the real rewards come when you take the time toturn in the Bounty at the Recruitment Center, as you will receive an influx of cash and, more importantly, a boost to your Courage stat.

Sadly, there will be no bounties to take on for a while after this, but this serves as a taster for what’s to come.
