Must complete “A Bullish Embargo” request

Once the calendar system officially kicks off inMetaphor: ReFantazio, you can begin doing side activities to increase the protagonist’s virtues or take requests from NPCs.

Brigitta offers “The Bullish Embargo” request, a mission that asks the player to go toBelega Corridor. However, you’ll need two points in Wisdomto accept the request.

She explains that a local monster has compromised her trade route and asks the protagonist to eliminate it.

After exploring Belega Corridor and defeating the Guptarous, you bring the monster’s horn to Brigitta, who extends an invitation for a more permanent working contract.

While Brigitta talks, the protagonist hears what sounds like a dog whimper, and the merchant strongly suggests he forgets what he just heard.

A new bond starts, and she says that when the protagonist wants the next job, he should simply return and talk to her.

Merchant Enlightenment - Reduces the MAG cost of studying the Merchant Lineage

Brigitta’s second job is feeding, playing with, and caring for her dog. She asks for utmost secrecy concerning the animal.

The reason is that there is an anti-igniter crowd, and they would go to any lengths to protest against Brigitta’s goods, even committing cruelties beyond simply killing her.

Brigitta’s weakness is the dog, and she trusts the protagonist to take care of her, especially given his ability to use magic without an igniter.

Metaphor: ReFantazio Director Katsura Hashino Has Already Started Work On Next Project

Metaphor: ReFantazio Director Katsura Hashino has confirmed he is already working on his next project for Atlus.

She reveals that she hates igniters but sells them because, in this world, money equals power. The rich keep getting richer while exploiting the poor, who remain in the gutter.

Brigitta intends to end this wicked cycle and asks the protagonist—someone who can use magic without igniters—to help her in this crusade, even if it’s just by taking care of her pet.

Rank Three

Scion’s Skill - Increases skill inheritance slots for the Merchant Lineage to two

Merchant’s Rate - Improves the exchange rate at the MAG exchange

The following job is to care for the pet again, taking her for a walk around the capital. When Brigitta returns, she says the dog was so happy you could hear her downstairs.

Brigitta saved the dog from starvation and injuries, but she’s still resistant to care for the pup.

The merchant says the situation reminded her of her past when she lived through hunger and violence and had to resort to robbery to survive, a living hell.

She realizes she’s begun to let her guard down with the protagonist and pulls back, advising him to look out for himself because no one will help him when he needs it most.

Brigitta questions the protagonist’s true motives, considering he was once allied with Grius and even tried to assassinate Louis. His answer about bringing peace to the world doesn’t convince her.

Scion’s Merit - Increases skill inheritance slots for the Merchant Lineage to three

Merchant’s Finest - Widens the variety of items sold at the Lycaon Magic Association

Brigitta feels down in the dumps, claiming the protagonist no longer has work because the dog is no longer there.

She says the dog was kidnapped by a thief disguised as a vendor under the pretext that those spreading magic igniters would face God’s wrath.

Brigitta feels frustrated, sad, and powerless. The moment she starts to care about the pup, someone takes it away from her, making her question what good there is in the world.

The protagonist skillfully reads a passage from his novel, which speaks of people helping each other and living in a world of equality.

Brigitta scoffs at the author and says the only equality in the world is that everyone will die, but until then, everyone must face their own hell.

She acknowledges that despite the struggles of life as an elda, the protagonist still has an optimistic light, and she wants to believe in that light.

Guild Discount - Receive a discount at weapon, armour, and igniter shops

Courage (3+)

You need three or more points in Courageto start this rank.

Brigitta shares that the Church has discovered the base of the anti-igniters extremists who kidnapped her dog.

Their base is located in a small village near Grand Trad. Brigitta vows to go there and raze the entire town, leaving no survivors.

She even says she’ll hang their lifeless bodies for three days as a message of what happens to those who dare cross her.

Metaphor: ReFantazio: Every Party Member, Ranked

A diverse bunch, each vital in their own right to take down Louis, but which one is the best of all?

Brigitta invites the protagonist, who, well, hopefully, refuses. She continues in a bloodthirsty rage, wanting to repay her dog’s death with more deaths.

One way or another, the protagonist convinces her to at least visit the village diplomatically, and she agrees. The two head to the location and discover a settlement of seemingly harmless eugiefs.

Brigitta realizes the village isn’t made up of anti-igniters extremists and that the information the Church has been feeding her seems false.

She thanks the protagonist for giving her common sense. Otherwise, she’d have sent a private army to burn down an innocent village.

Merchant Veneration - Significantly reduces the MAG cost of studying the Merchant Lineage

Merchant’s Markdown - Significantly improves the exchange rate at the MAG Exchange

When we meet Brigitta again, a town crier announces that the hideout of the anti-igniters terrorists was destroyed, all thanks to Brigitta and her magic igniters.

The village was indeed destroyed, but Brigitta wasn’t responsible. She says the Church is using the attack as propaganda for magic igniters and exploiting her as a scapegoat.

The Church was also responsible for kidnapping her dog, trapping Brigitta in this scheme, and now demanding her total obedience. She intends to confront the sanctists.

Brigitta reveals that she had friends in the past, but they all died in poverty, starving, and much of that is due to Sanctism, which takes from the poor to give to the rich.

She swore she would survive, become strong, and be the one calling the shots. But when she thought she had escaped one hell, Brigitta was caught in another.

The merchant falls into a spiral of despair, but the protagonist manages to calm her down by showing his hopeful vision for the future.

Rank Seven

Igniter Connoisseur - Further widens the variety of items sold at the Lycaon Magic Association by adding rare items

Supply Crate - Occasionally, as one day ends and another begins, Brigitta will send a crate with funds

Courage (+4)

Brigitta takes the protagonist to a facility where she and her team produce non-violent igniters, a direct affront to the Church’s war-focused magic igniters.

She reveals that the trade route the protagonist cleared when defeating the Guptarous was reserved for the prototype of these domestic igniters, which is why it required secrecy.

Brigitta knows the Church will hunt her down once she begins commercializing these new igniters, but she doesn’t care. She decides that helping the protagonist reach the throne is a way to prioritize peaceful igniters over combative ones.

With confidence and trust in the protagonist, she decides to take this first step, even if it costs her dearly, in pursuit of a world of mutual goodwill, respect, and equality.

Rank Eight

Merchant Archetype: Elite - The party can now study the Tycoon Archetype

Scion’s Essence - Increases skill inheritance slots for the Merchant Lineage to four

While preparing for “The Final Battle”

Brigitta says she’s decided to close her shop permanently, but first, she needs to deal with two eugief children armed with igniters who are threatening her.

The children believe Brigitta was responsible for destroying their village, and some Sanctors from the Church even gave them igniters to seek revenge with their own hands.

Brigitta tries to resolve the issue through dialogue, explaining what would happen if the children stained their hands with blood and the dark path they would walk for the rest of their lives, an analogy to the merchant’s own life.

In the end, she convinces the children that revenge isn’t the ideal path and offers them living spaces in her igniter factory as their new home.

She decides to keep her igniter shop open, doing everything possible to undermine the Church’s efforts and support the protagonist’s royal campaign.

The boy gave Brigitta hope again, and she hopes to repay that hope somehow in the future. Thus concludes all Bond ranks with Brigitta.
