After you complete the Regalith Grand Cathedral Dungeon inMetaphor: ReFantazio, you’d think, with all the destruction caused, that there would be no way you’d be treading the same ground again, at least for a while.

However, not too long after you complete this dungeon, and complete a certain bounty near Martina, you’ll unlock a new request taking you back through the Catacombs.

With over 200 Personas in Persona 5 Royal, there are almost too many to choose from. Here are the best Personas in the game.

This request sees you head into a haunted Mausoleum, hoping to recover a family heirloom for an obnoxious noble. He’s not likable in the slightest, but hey, there’s Reeve and rewards to earn, so it’s not all bad.

If you’re wondering how to unlock this request and breeze through, this is the only guide you’ll need.

How To Unlock A Haunted Heirloom

To take on this request, you must first meet certain criteria, requiring the player to complete a certain bounty that is unlocked when you reach Martina. Youwill need to head to the Imp’s Den and take on the Goborn King.

Provided you complete this bounty, the guard running the kiosk will inform you about a personal request from a Noble back in Grand Trad. Then, you’re able to head to Sunlumeo Street and accept their request.

Beginning A Haunted Heirloom Request Metaphor Refantazio

This quest is best combined with a request that can be taken on outside the Grand Trad Catacombs called Skullduggery, so before you head into the Catacombs, be sure to accept this one, too, and try to complete them simultaneously.

How To Prepare

The Catacombs, as you would expect, is largely made up of undead mob enemies, which means you need to plan accordingly and bring Archetypes that are best equipped for the job.

Firstly, I would personally suggest that youwait until you have added Heismay to your partybefore taking on this quest, as there is no deadline. An extra party member makes this a much easier task.

Second, I would suggest yougo with a blend of Healer and Mage Archetypes. This is becauseLight and Fire attacks are your friend in this dungeon, and they help you deal with the Gelatinos and Spekta enemies that occupy this space.

Then, in anticipation of the grand battle at the end of the dungeon, I would suggest youstock up on items that allow you to cure Hex, as this can make your party members very flimsy, especially if you don’t take out their Skeleton minions fast.

If you have accepted both of the aforementioned requests, you can head into the catacombs. The way ahead is closed for repairs, and the metal door to the right is your way back out when the quest is done, so head to the left.

Immediately, you’ll run into your first group of Gelatinos and Spekta enemies. The main irritant concerning both of these enemies is thatthey are invulnerable to physical attacks, so you have to rely on magic here to make it through.

TheGelatinos are weak to fire, so moves like Mage Fire and Bot are good options to deal decent damage against these hulking blobs. Then, as for the Spektas, you’ll want to rely on your light magicand use moves like Hama and Mage Light.

Provided you get into a steady rhythm defeating these enemies, you’ll not encounter anything too tasking throughout the entire dungeon.

As for the Dungeon itself, you’ll be able to explore and find a series of great items well worth picking up, but the main gimmick here is thatyou will need to explore two different paths and open two chests at the end of each respective path, which can then be combined to open the dark Magla door leading the boss.

Provided you explore thoroughly, you should find these through natural play without much issue, but if you’re in any doubt, the location of these two chests are shown on the map within our gallery.

If you are trying to complete the Skullduggery quest in tandem with this one, be sure to explore thoroughly and make sure you kill every Skeleton enemy you come across, as you’ll need to collect eight Mortaskulls to complete that quest.

Then, once you have fully explored the area, rest in the Magla Hollow near the door leading to the boss’s room and prepare yourself for a tough fight.

How To Defeat Kadablich

Kadablich is a relatively hardy boss in his own right, but the difficulty is only amplified by the Malmorta Soldiers alongside him. So, your first port of call is tothin out the battlefield and get rid of his army of undead soldiers.

The best way to do this is by performing light attacks to make the most of their weakness. Hama is a good individual move, but if you want to thin the crowd fast and turn your focus to Kadablich, you’ll want to have the Mahama synthesis attack available.

This should make short work of the Skeletons, and then you’re left with Kadablich. The most annoying thing he does is cast Curse Chant, which has a chance to hex all party members. If successful, this will lead to more damage, and usually critical hits that grant him additional attack notches.

Ways to combat this would be equipping an Igniter that prevents Hex if you have access to one, raising your party’s evasiveness, or having items to hand that can cure Hex.

However, if you move affected party members to the backline, you can definitely ride the status effects out if you have none of these options available.

Aside from this, Kadablich also has access to a Life Steal ability, which allows them to heal slightly while dealing damage to a party member, and he has access to Mamudo, which allows them to deal Dark magic damage to the whole party.

Much like his Skeleton minions,he is most susceptible to light magic attacks, so make the most of the Healer archetype, use Tarukjada to buff their attacks, and provided you don’t get too unlucky with the Hex attacks, you should be able to take this boss down.

A Haunted Heirloom Rewards

If you manage to beat Kadablich and turn in the request, you’ll receive the following rewards:

The standout reward here is the Sandglass Cuirass, which is a great piece of armor to add to your collection in the early-game. Plus, the Weeping Blood Staff is a brilliant upgrade at this point for your Mage Archetype.
