The progression in Meet Your Maker is a big part of what makes the game fun, but it’s not always the easiest to understand. The game uses three distinct resources, but the best ways to get them and how you use them are all a little different.

If you’re not too sure what the materials do, don’t worry. It’s a fairly simple system once you understand it, and once you do, you’ll be better able to prioritize certain upgrades and get more materials when you need them. Here’s what all the materials do and how you can get more of them.
Cells are the main resource in Meet Your Maker, and frustratingly, they’re also the hardest to come by.This bright red resource is used in nearly every facet of the game.Want to upgrade youriconic custodian suit? You’ll need Cells for that. Need to unlock a new trap? Cells again. This trend makes it hard enough to hold on to your Cells, but to make matters worse, it’s not easy to get more
You only have three options when it comes to getting Cells:evolve the Chimera, claim a daily reward, or increase your tribute level.All three of these options are tied to the normal course of gameplay, and you can check on your progress by interacting with the Chimera. Getting GenMat will help evolve your Chimera and increase your Tribute level, so either raiding or base building will help you expand your Cell stockpile. However, these two methods are anything but equal.
While raiding is great at getting a few hundred Cells in an hour or so,it can’t compare to the overnight hauls that a few popular outposts can bring in.Since you both level your Chimera and increase your Tribute level by killing raiders in your outposts, you can generate a few thousand Cells while you sleep. Just remember to build up to your maximum of five outposts at a time to make as many Cells as possible.

Synthite is those glowing orange cubes you’ll find scattered throughout the wastelands, and if you plan on building outposts (which you should),you’ll want to scoop up as much of thisclassic sci-fi super materialas you’re able to get.Synthite is used in unlocking traps, guards, and their corresponding mods. On top of that, you’ll have to pay a hefty sum of Synthite to claim a Burial Site to build an outpost on, and you’ll need even more if you want to keep your bases active.

You’ll often find yourself running short on Synthite, especially when you start refiling your outposts. If you want to keep these outposts online,it’s essential that you try to make them as deadly as possible.The more kills you get, the more Synthite you have to reactivate that base.

Parts are the last and arguably the least useful resource in the game. You can spend this blue scrap onunlocking new weapons, suits, and gear and upgrading the ones you already own.Outside of that, the only constant use for Parts is in buying new gear to replace the ones you used in a raid.
Parts can be gained in the same ways you can get Synthite. Destroying traps, leveling up, evolving the Chimera, breaking Forsaken Tombs, and stopping raiders are all great ways to get more Parts. However, you may not need as much as you get.
The main issue with spending your Parts is that,more often than not, your Cells will be the limiting factor in buying new upgrades. This makes replenishing gear the only real expense that will drain your Parts faster than you’re able to make it. Keep this in mind while you’re raiding; if you have a stockpile of Parts, don’t be afraid to throw some grenades if it means beating an outpost a bit faster.
