These locations are one of the most important aspects when playing a game of Marvel Snap because they all have individual abilities that can alter the course of any game. Some locations seem to help out On Reveal cards, while other locations give a boosting benefit to any player wielding Ongoing cards. Fortunately, there are several Ongoing locations for players to take advantage of.
As any Marvel Cinematic Universe fan would recognize, Knowhere is a head of a celestial in which space scoundrels utilize as a place to reside on. This location in Marvel Snap withholds the ability to stop On Reveal effects from happening there. This means that cards that hold the ability to lower an opponent’s power, destroy cards, boost power, and more from revealing on the virtual table, won’t be able to exercise those abilities.

Obviously, for any player using On Reveal cards, the revelation of this location will be disappointing, but for players using Ongoing cards, it’s considerably an easy victory since Ongoing effects still work there. Ongoing deck users should definitely utilize this location when given the chance.
4Strange Academy
The Strange Academy location in Marvel Snap can definitely be both a disappointment and a strategic gain. This location takes all the cards placed there and sends them to different locations after turn 5. Of course, playing cards at this location does hold a certain degree of chance, but with Ongoing cards, the chances of the location being more valuable and supporting the player’s victory will be more likely.
Since On Reveal cards have already used their effect, those abilities won’t apply anywhere else (usually). For Ongoing cards, their abilities will always remain in use, so it’ll apply those benefits to wherever they are sent to. This makes for great strategies that focus on the number of cards in a location, like Ant-Man, or cards like The Punisher, that gain power from the number of cards the opponent has in that location.

3The Nexus
The Nexus is one of the most sought-after locations in Marvel Snap, since it takes the power-driven there, and adds that power to the other locations. This location usually fills up pretty quickly because of its highly beneficial ability, and luckily for Ongoing cards, the location can be much more beneficial.

Ongoing cards usually have effects that boost the power of the others at the same location. Because of this, power can be continuously added with cards played at the Nexus, sending Ongoing card’s power to other areas. For cards like Iron Man and Onslaught, this location will provide an incredible sense of domination as their Ongoing effects shoot the other area’s power up to incredible levels.
New York shows a lively representation in Marvel Snap, as it allows players to move cards to the location on turn 5. For On Reveal cards, this doesn’t apply many benefits since the On Reveal ability has already been activated, so it’s much more of an asset to be utilized by players wielding Ongoing card decks.

Ongoing cards don’t lose their ability when they’re moved, so players can strategically move Ongoing cards to New York should it support the path to victory. Using Ongoing cards to boost power within New York can be a quick way to take the lead on turn 6. Some cards that work amazingly with this location are those that could gain power by moving, or cards that provide allies power in that location. This can easily build up a pile of power in New York.
1Onslaught’s Citadel
The best location for Ongoing cards in Marvel Snap is Onslaught’s Citadel. The location takes after Onslaught’s card, which has the ability to double Ongoing effects in the location where it is placed. Onslaught’s Citadel does the same exact thing, just for both players.
On Reveal card users will definitely get a headache when seeing this location revealed, while Ongoing card users prepare for an incredibly easy victory over that location. If an Ongoing deck player were to be so fortunate as to play Onslaught on Onslaught’s Citadel, they will surely devastate the entire game. The potential for Ongiong cards here is limitless (assuming a Scarlet Witch stays away).
