Director and executive producer of the showSydney Freelandhas hinted at the significant shift in Maya Lopez’s powers in an earlier interview. As perVariety, she expressed reservations about the characters’ original powers in comics as she referred to them as “lame“.
“Her power in the comic books is that she can copy anything, any movement, any whatever. It’s kind of lame,”she said during a conversation before adding,“I will say, that is not her power. I’ll just kind of leave it at that.”
