Final Fantasy’s Most Iconic City Is Coming To Magic: The Gathering
The most famous city from the Final Fantasy franchise is coming to Magic: The Gathering as a unique Land with a power that matches its reputation.
A new post on theMagicTCG Redditfeatures a spoiler for a Magic: The Gathering Genji Glove card, originally posted byQuest Daily. This card has incredible combo potential with Lightning fromFinal Fantasy 13, or at least, the version of her that canbe used as a Commander.

Genji Glove + Lightning Is A Potential One-Shot Kill.
The Genji Glove is a 5 mana artifact thatgrants Double Striketo whoever equips it. It that creature attacks, it untaps, and a second combat phase begins after the first.
The reason why fans are so excited is due to how it works with Lightning, Army of One. Not only is Lightning a 3/2 Legendary Creature with First Strike, Trample, and Lifelink, but if she deals combat damage to a player, then all her owner’ssources of damage are doubleduntil their next turn.

So, if the player gets Lightning on the field and equips the Genji Glove, she deals three damage, then six (from the doubled damage from the second hit of Double Strike), then untaps, and when the second combat phase begins, she deals twelve damage, and then twenty-four. This is a total of forty-five damage, which will one-shot most players, either through direct damageor Commander damage.
Obviously, the player actually needs to pull off this combo, as their opponents will prioritize either nuking Lightning or the Genji Glove. It’s also possible to block Lightning with something bulky, which also stalls the combo. However, if she can land a hit, then her victory is assured.
