As manyOne Piecefans might have anticipated, the final battle in the series is going to be between the World Government/Navy and The Straw Hat Pirates. The special focus of this battle is going to be the current Navy Fleet Admiral, Akainu vs. The Emperor of the Sea, and The Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy.
This battle is going to be probably the biggest moment of the series and will surpass other special moments such as Gear 5. The excitement of fans has also increased since they got to know that the series has entered its final saga and this epic battle may be way closer than they hoped for.
While fans eagerly wait for it,One Piecehas already given a glimpse of this battle in one of its opening themes.One Pieceanime’s 17th Opening theme called Wake Up has put a special focus on this battle along with some other epic moments of the series. This has made the theme one of the best openings of One Piece ever.

One Piece’sOpening Theme Features Luffy Punching Akainu
The opening theme forOne Pieceanime, “Wake up!”, is the third opening for the second part of the show and the 17th overall. Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp are shown in the opening scene sitting atop Thousand Sunny’s head when they notice a golden Hercules beetle flying by. They become interested in it and begin chasing after it.
As they all ascend the mast in an attempt to capture the beetle, they notice a fleet of Marine battleships positioned far off, accompanied by several well-known maritime personnel, including Sentomaru, Helmeppo, Koby, Tashigi, Smoker, and Hina. It also shows the fleet of Admiral Akainu and the other navy admirals Fujitora and Kizaru.
The scene then cuts to Luffy fighting Akainu with Haki, Zoro fighting Fujitora in a sword battle, and Sanji fighting Kizaru using his legs. The highlight of this scene was the glimpse it gave of Luffy’s battle against Akainu and how they punch each other while Luffy only uses Haki and Akainu using his devil fruit powers.

Luffy vs Akainu will be a special battle forOne Piecefans as it will not only feature the fight between an Emperor of the Sea and The Fleet Admiral, but it will be a fight that Luffy has been waiting for because of what Akainu did to Ace during the Summit War in the Marineford arc just before the time skip.
Luffy has developed a huge amount of hatred towards Akainu for provoking Ace and then killing him during the war. It was the only point where theOne Piecefans have seen him being the saddest. Not only that, Akainu has also been wanting to fight Luffy for a long time but his duty as the Fleet Admiral gets the better of him.

Luffy has trained hard during the time skip and now he has also awakened his Gear 5 form. He will surely be a worthy opponent against Akainu and as he grows stronger after every arc, if Akainu vs Luffy is created during the conclusion, Luffy could even win against Akainu to prove himself the strongest and take revenge for his brother Ace.
