Players using hacker mods have plagued video games for quite some time now, and battle royale appears to be among their favorite genres. From wall hacks to aimbots, these fancy users can kill the mood and gaming spirit of any player playing legitimately. Such a case surfaced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) when a hacker killed the opponent from a sniping range using a grenade launcher.

In a video shared by a gamer and steamer dubbed Lenun, he and his teammate were killed in a rapid-fire round that appeared likea mini AC-130 gunship. In reality, it was their opponent who was using a grenade launcher with an aimbot as the gun’s ‘attachment.’ The attack certainly left the player stunned, as can be seen in the video.

Players are annoyed by hackers taking over the game, and many of those have taken to X to showcasehow these perpetrators ruin the gaming experience. A user going by the name juicy said in response to one of these videos“No wonder Fortnite tops cod till this day.”

For as long as these hackers keep perpetrating multiplayer games, players will keep having a hard time coping. This may also coerce them to abandon it, given that it won’t make any sense for them to play. Activision will likely be banning a plethora of accounts using hacker mods, which is also why they might have brought Ricochet down for the time being. If that’s the case, players can take a sigh of relief, at least for some time.
