Fetch quests are usually viewed as monotonous by most gamers, but there are a few that stand out!
The Water Goblin’s Hut Tipster Quest is slightly more involved than some of the others, but don’t let that turn you away from completing it, either.
There are two different loot points to discover on this journey, and one is missable if you don’t take the time to check every loose end of this quest.
With that, let’s dive in and take a look at how to get the most out of locating the Water Goblin’s Hut.
Get Your Tip At The Inn
In the north-west portion ofZhelejov, look for a Quest Tipster icon to appear as you progress through the early stages of the game. The symbol you’re looking for features a blue exclamation mark.
If you follow this symbol, you will track it down as belonging to Innkeeper Lawrence, the owner and operator of the Zhelejov Wagoner’s Inn. He’s available during the daytime and will be wearing a dirty, white tunic and brown cap with ear flaps.
Ask him about any going-ons around town, and he’ll tell you a tale of two local boys with a secret swimming spot at Rocktower Pond who recently claimed to have found a hut near the water that belongs to a water goblin.
With this tip, Henry is off to track down these boys and figure out what’s actually going on.

An Untimely End
First, head to the bathing spot of these two boys, which is now denoted on your map. It’s located on the banks of Rocktower in the south-west region of the pond.
If you’ve unlocked either the Nomad’s Camp or Rocktower Pond fast-travel icons, these are your quickest options to reach the location.
Upon your arrival, however, don’t expect to hear the two boys from Lawrence’s story frolicking in the water or retelling their story of the water goblin. Sadly, you’ll find both boys dead and floating in the water near the marker on your map.
Still, as a survivalist, don’t feel bad taking what you can from these poor souls since they won’t be needing their gear anymore. One floating body has nothing on it, but the other is holding onto a Shrinking Die and aCarpenter’s Badge of Advantagethat you can use in your next round of dice.
Goblin Hunting
With this unfortunate plot development out of the way, the only thing left is to track down the Water Goblin’s Hut and see if you can find any answers.
Pull open your map and see that this point of interest is located across the pond from the bathing spot. Take care on your journey, as there is a bandit camp south of the hut along the bank of Rocktower Pond.
Don’t worry about any impending showdown with the water goblin once you reach the hut, as you’ll find the location deserted. As off-putting as it may seem, you’re free to enter the creepy hut and loot as you please.
You’ll find some crayfish to loot along with 5 Groschen on some makeshift shelves in the hut. Take a closer look, however, and you’ll notice a submerged chest at the back of the hut that you can pick the lock of.
If this is your first experience with lockpicking in the game, be warned that even though this chest is marked “easy,” it can still be a bit of a challenge to crack open.
If you’re not confident in your thieving skills, consider drinking a Savior Schnapps to save your game so you can simply reload and try again instead of breaking and losing multiple lockpicks.
The contents of the chest are your final prize for this tipster quest and include 13 additional Groschen, a fish, and a stylish pair of blue and teal-striped trousers courtesy of the water goblin itself.
The true mystery of the water goblin still looms large, and those poor boys' deaths remain unsolved. But hey, Henry got some cool pants!
