Jennifer Lopez is indeed an icon in many terms to numerous people, but for Brie Larson, it’s on a whole other level. For someone who pretty much grew up idolizing the bossy babe ever since her childhood, it wouldn’t be an understatement to say that Larson pretty much worships the singer cum actress.

In fact, Brie Larson was so deeply intrigued by watching Lopez onscreen for the very first time that despite being traumatized by her movieSelena, which is quite literally considered one of Jennifer Lopez’s best films to date, theCaptain Marvelstar decided that she wanted to lead her life just like her.

“It’s very profound for me. My mom took me to the theater to see ‘Selena’, and it traumatized me, but also, I was like, [in a crying tone] ‘That’s what I wanna do with my life.'”

Continuing, Larson further clarified that Lopez held a much greater meaning to her than just an actress whom she grew up watching and idolizing.

“She just kind of doesn’t really exist to me as, like, a human being,” Larson said. “She’s like, not [human]; she’s like my god.”

For someone who considers her icon on such a high level, what’s surprising here is that Brie Larson never truly expected to meetJennifer Lopezin real life despite being a well-renowned actress herself!

Brie Larson Hasn’t Heard from Jennifer Lopez After That

Although Brie Larson has had multiple people hitting her up with stuff about how her fangirling reaction was“amazing”and how they want to pair them up“in a film together”after her clip meeting Jennifer Lopez went viral, theAvengers: Endgamestar hasn’t heard from her icon after the incident.

WhenJimmy Kimmelasked her about the same of whether she had heard from JLo after that hilarious first meet, Larson said:

“Not a peep,” she said, all the while adding, “It’s not looking like a professional relationship is on the table for me. (Laughs) It’s just, I’m good, [but] I’m not that good.”

At the same time, Larson also admitted that she didn’t find her reaction to be that appealing either. Rating it on a scale of 0 to 10, she said:

“I think it was kind of creepy. I really do! (Laughs) I would just say: If I was just casually doing an interview and someone came to ME with that energy, I’d be like, ‘Take a step back. Relax.'”

Well, regardless of what she might think of it herself, what matters is that Brie Larson got to meet the very person she pretty much grew up worshipping —even though one of her most iconic movies notably traumatized her— in the most hilarious yet touching way.
