A recent interview with Saber Interactive, the studio in charge of the game, clarified certain details about the multiplayer choices, specifically why they opted for a 6v6 mode instead of a large battle scenario filled with enemies.

Oliver Hollis-Leick, the game’s creative director, talked about why the studio discarded the possibility of having a giant scenario filled with enemies, despite the large levels that the title will have. It seems that this was for the player’s benefit.

Apparently, the studio decided against creating a large, enemy-filled scenario because they wanted players to constantly pursue each other. Therefore, the studio preferred that inSpace Marine 2, players could face each other in combat full of violence and brutality.
