Iron Man, released in 2008, also made history with a stunning Rotten Tomatoes record with a 94% score to its credit. Marvel Studios took almost a decade and a record-breaking $356 million to match Iron Man’s score with another Marvel masterpieceAvengers: Endgame.
The 2019 movie was one of the most successful movies of all time even beyond Marvel Cinematic Universe.Avengers: Endgamegrossed over $2.799 billion at the global box office, a remarkable feat for the movie as it went on to be the highest-grossing MCU movie of all time.

The heroic end of the character was purely emotional and heartbreaking but it was best fitting to the narrative. After his MCU departure, the actor went on to find glorious success in his career winning his first Oscar appearing inChristopher Nolan’sOppenheimer.

Despite his newfound success beyond the shadow of the MCU,the actor is still keen on reprising his roleas Iron Man. In an interview withEsquirein April, the actor revealed that he would“happily”return to playing Iron Man.
That role chose me. And look, I always say, never, ever bet against Kevin Feige. It is a losing bet. He’s the house. He will always win.
However, Marvel Studios seemingly has no plans to bring the actor back because Iron Man had a glorious death and quite a satisfying farewell to his long cinematic saga. Still,it’s not impossible, Hugh Jackman is returning to play Wolverine inDeadpool & Wolverineafter the demise of his character inLogan,and with that note, Downey’s return to wear the iconic armor again is not out of the picture.
