The Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has been making headlines in the world of boxing ever since his pro boxing debut. Recently, he went head to head with boxing legend Mike Tyson in a highly publicized fight and defeated him. Yet, even though his feats in the ring might be legendary, fans and onlookers have argued that he is not a true fighter for he avoids fighting ‘real’ boxers of his age.

One of his many critics is the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh. Recently in the news for allegedly offering Tyson almost a billion dollars to fight Paul again, it is hard to believe there is any truth in these claims after what he previously said about the boxer.
Saudi Arabia’s Turki Alalshikh Allegedly Offers Mike Tyson $700 Million to Knockout Jake Paul
Turki Alalshikh is one of the advisors at the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia and is currently serving as the Chairman of the General Enetratinemnt Authority. An avid boxing fan, recently there were rumors that he has apparently offered the boxing legendMike Tysonover $700 million to go againstJake Paulagain after their recent fight.

Tyson lost to the Youtuber turned boxer recently, and since then many have believed that Iron Mike was holding back and wasreportedly paid by Paul to lose. Although this is just a baseless rumor, Turki Alalshikh wants the veteran to have another go, asFTTV Boxingreported,
Turki Alalshikh offers Mike Tyson $700 million to fight Jake Paul and win by 3-minute KO in a rematch. stating ‘Jake Paul is a joke. I am giving Mike Tyson $700 million if he agrees to fight Jake Paul this time in a real fight and wins by KO in a maximum of 3 minutes.‘

However, there has been no confirmation from His Excellency himself. Moreover, the offer is huge and manifold bigger than what Tyson might have made by his first fight against Paul. So while it remains to be seen whether there is any truth to these reports and rumors, at the same time it seems unlikely that the Saudi advisor might have made such a offer given his previous statements about Jake Paul and his boxing career.
What His Excellency Turki Alalshikh Has Said About Jake Paul
Back when Jake Paul went against Mike Perry, the General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Alalshikh joined in to criticize the celebrity boxer. Ever since Paul made his debut, critics have argued that he primarily fights against boxers who are either not full-time boxers, or are not his ‘size,’ or are way past their prime years in the ring. For when he did fight boxers his age, like Tommy Fury, he lost the fight.

So during the Paul and Perry fight, he tweeted on his officialXaccount—this is not boxing…and elaborated in a subsequent tweet that Francis is a real fighter and does great fights and not like this‘circus,’when a fan charged him of paying $30 million to Francis Ngannou for two boxing matches. His Excellency, in another instance stated that Paul was not really a real boxer (viaMirror.co.uk).
If he wants to be a real boxer, he needs to take on big fights against boxers, not treat it like a show. That’s my opinion, because it’s damaging to boxing. I know he doesn’t like this, especially what I said about his last fight. I said it wasn’t boxing, and I’m not joking.

He even added on that if he wants to continue in this field he would have to fight real boxers, before stating that he personally supports boxing and not shows like this. Moreover, while speaking toDAZN Boxinghe was clear that he doesn’t want any YouTuber fights again and prefers real fighters in the ring. So while rumors of His Excellency allegedly offering Mike Tyson $700 million are going around, given his past stance on Jake Paul and such events, it is unlikely he would have made such an offer.
