Batman’s love life is the least of his concerns when it comes to DC Comics. Princess Diana of Themyscira had also found love in Steve Trevor but he died and was brought back and it’s all complicated.

Back in the DC Animated Universe (DCAU), Wonder Woman and Batman were once put in a situation. When Diana asked Batman about his love life, Bruce Wayne proved that they wouldn’t work out at all and the reason still stands 20 years later!
Why Batman And Wonder Woman Shouldn’t Date!
Back in 2004, an animated series by the name ofJustice League Unlimitedwas airing on television. Dealing with the members of the Justice League, the series involved characters fighting villains and teaming up together.

In Season 1, episode 5 of the series (titledThis Little Piggy),Batman and Wonder Woman have a moment to chat about their personal lives. When Princess Diana asks Bruce Wayne about his love life, the Caped Crusader of Gotham City has the perfect answer on why they shouldn’t date and how it would never work out between the two.
“One, dating within the team always leads to disaster. Two, you’re a princess from a society of immortal warriors [and] I’m a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues. And three, if my enemies know I had someone special, they wouldn’t rest until they have gotten to me through her”.

Although the reasons seem somewhat reasonable and logical, fans wouldn’t hear the end of it. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), fans praisedKevin Conroy’sBatman as a “sigma-male” while also calling him dumb.

With Batman’s explanation and Diana having a negative reaction, the scene is somewhat brooding and hilarious at the same time. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), people talked about their opinions and how Batman was an idiot for letting Wonder Woman go!

Funniest part is that he’s worried that his villains might hurt her. Like yeah, what’s Two Face gonna do to a 1000 year old warrior Demi goddess?

Yes, I’m sure Wonder Woman is just shaking in her boots over the prospect of Penguin coming after her.

batman being worried about wonder woman being targeted is so funny to me like she can defeat the god of the multiverse and hes out here thinking about how calendar man can possibly hurt her

This romance is easily one of the worst parts of the show. The writers always made Diana act like a schoolgirl over him which just pissed me off. Besides Bruce constantly denied her and yet people still say they should’ve gotten together…

Well, fortunately, or unfortunately, the duo did not work out, and Batman had other partners throughout the series. Some notable names include Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Barbara Gordan (Batwoman) among others. All three seasons ofJustice League Unlimitedare available to stream on Max in the U.S.
