Season 6 is now officially live in bothWarzoneandBlack Ops Cold War, and with players getting stuck in, many are eager to know if the arrival of two new weapons along with some weapon balancing has created a new meta for the season.

It’s fair to say that the weapon meta inWarzoneis currently the most stable it’s ever been. But, with the arrival of Season 6, plenty of changes have been made. Has Season 6 ofWarzonecreated a new weapon meta? Here’s what we know.

WarzoneSeason 6 New Weapons

Season 6 is the final showdown beforeCall of Duty: Vanguardarrives this November and a new story begins, and Activision are aiming to endCold Warwith a bang.

There’s plenty of new content across bothWarzoneandCold War, but most importantly, there’s two brand new weapons for players to unlock.

To kick off the season, the Grav Assault Rifle and .410 Ironhide Shotgun are available as free tiers in the latest Battle Pass. The Grav can be unlocked at Tier 31, whilst the Ironhide at Tier 15.

Many will recognise the Grav Assault Rifle as it is essentially the Galil from previousBlack Opstitles, it is a fully automatic assault rifle with a fast rate of fire, modest damage, and moderate recoil.

The .410 Ironhide is a band new lever-action shotgun that boasts a high damage at close range with an improved fire rate. The Ironhide is a reliable 2-shot kill with a short 1-shot range.

But the real question is, have they changed theWarzoneMeta for Season 6?

What’s The Weapon Meta InWarzoneSeason 6?

In terms of the new weapons, the Grav Assault Rifle appears to have some horrendous recoil, making it a lot less accurate than guns such as the Krig or FARA-83.

As for the Ironhide Shotgun, it requires good accuracy from the player but can be deadly. However, Shotguns don’t often become meta inWarzoneunless incredibly overpowered, which the Ironhide doesn’t appear to be.

There weren’t any crazy nerfs or buffs made to existing weapons either, with only the C58 Assault Rifle, EM2 Assault Rifle, MG 82 Light Machine Gun, and the Stoner 63 Light Machine gun receiving slight nerfs. More details on those nerfs can be foundhere.

So, it looks like the weapon meta has stayed pretty stable with the launch of Season 6. Fans can expect the Krig 6, FARA-83, and AK-47 (BOCW) to likely remain the fan favorite picks for the season.
