The hugely popular survival gameRustis finally coming to consoles, but with a hefty $50 price tag many players are wondering if they’ll be able to pick it up on Xbox Game Pass.

SinceRustlaunched for Windows and Mac back in 2018, the game has found a huge following. It quickly became one of the most popular survival video games around, and even found a massive revival in recent times after various Twitch streamers began playing the game again, propelling theRustplayer base to244,000 in January of 2021.
It looks like the success is about to keep coming asRustwill officially release on Xbox and PlayStation on August 20, 2025.
According to the developers, the Rust Console Edition will exist as a separate entity from the PC version. Both versions will have a separate roadmap and community.
Pre-orderRustonPlayStationandXboxright now. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game will gain access toRuston May 18, 3 days earlier than the official release date for the Standard Edition.

As mentioned previously, the Console Edition ofRustcomes with a rather hefty $50/£45 price tag. So, will you be able to pick upRust Console Editionfor free as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription?
As of writing, the answer isno.Rust Console Editionhas not currently been confirmed to be arriving on Xbox Game Pass.
However, this doesn’t mean that the game will never arrive on Game Pass. The line-up of games joining Game Pass for the month of May have already been announced, but June is still yet to be confirmed.
