That said, one of the recent comments from the filmmaker regarding the same has given just a sneak peek into who fans can expect to see as the big bad in the said upcoming movie. While fans believe inMatt Reeves‘ choice and what he would be bringing about, there are still concerns about who the villain could be. Good news for all those fans wondering about that amidst the slew of rumors, for the filmmaker has finally addressed those concerns.

Recently talking with Josh Horowitz at the Golden Globes, the director admitted that they have determined who the bad guy for this forthcoming installment was going to be while adding “I hope so” to the question of if the reveal would be surprising to the audiences. Without giving away too much about what it would be about, he said (viaJosh Horowitz Clips on YouTube):

Robert Pattinson will be returning as the Dark Knight in The Batman Part II

I think the story is a continuation, in a certain way, and completely different in another.  It’s going to show different sides of Rob. I think it’s going to be really exciting, I think it’s going to be really cool.
