While we already know that Insomniac Games is working on Marvel’sWolverinefor the PS5, it appears that the studio has some unannounced projects also in the works.
Nothing has been formally announced regarding this, but an Insomniac Games developer has confirmed that the studio is working on multiple projects.

Insomniac Games Has Two Mysterious Games In The Works Outside Wolverine
The news that Insomniac Games was working on multiple games outside of Marvel’s Wolverine was shared by a developer on LinkedIn (viaNoticias PlayStation).
The dev, whose name we’ll leave out to protect their identity, is a senior character and concept artist who mentions their projects as Marvel’s Wolverine and two “unannounced games.”

This developer also worked on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as a character and concept artist.
While Insomniac Games hasn’t announced any projects outside of Marvel’s Wolverine, theinfamous Insomniac Games data breachthat occurred in 2023 should give us an indication of what these unannounced projects might be.

Based on the internal roadmap, Insomniac Games has Marvel’s Venom lined up alongside Wolverine, and there are also plans for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and a new Ratchet & Clank game. However, the latter is slated for release in 2029. There’s also Marvel’s X-Men planned for release in 2030, with an undisclosed new IP taking up the release window for 2031-2032.
Marvel’s Wolverine Devs Clap Back At Gamer Pestering Them For Development Update
Insomniac Games confirms they are still actively working on Marvel’s Wolverine.
It is essential to note that, as these are unannounced projects, there are numerous moving parts, and these release windows aren’t set in stone. Marvel’s Venom was tagged for release in 2025, and as we’re all aware, Insomniac has not announced any Venom game this year.

If I had to hazard a guess, these two unannounced games are most likely Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 and perhaps a new Ratchet & Clank game since it’s been ages since we’ve seen the franchise.
Regardless of which games these unannounced projects are, don’t expect them to be released anytime soon. Marvel’s Wolverinewas announced in 2021, and here we are, four years later, with no official gameplay footage to its name, much less a release date. Hopefuilly, we’ll hear more about Wolverine before the end of the year, and we’ll get the superhero game in 2026, as originally planned by Insomniac.

In the meantime, check out our list of Wolverine gamesto play while we’re waiting for Insomniac’s game to be released. While info about the game is scarce,we’re expecting it to feature suits galore, just like what Insomniac did with its Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise.
Given howawesome Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 turned out, anything involving Insomniac is something PlayStation gamers should be excited about.
