Carano is seeking $75,000 in damages and asking the court to force Lucasfilm and Disney to recast her in the popular show, viaThe Hollywood Reporter. While she was allegedly fired for her cultural and religious beliefs, the actress argued that male co-stars like Pedro Pascal suffered no consequences. She referred to Pascal’s 2017 post in which he compared Donald Trump to Hitler.She continued in her X post,

“Hollywood says they support female representation & equal rights. Why then were my male co-stars permitted to speak without harassment & re-education courses or termination, but I was not afforded the same right to exercise my freedom of speech.”
