Hannah Waddingham, known for starring in shows likeGame of ThronesandSex Education,is set to star alongside Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling in the upcoming action comedy filmThe Fall Guy. The movie has been described as a homage to the stunt performers in the film industry. The lead actor of the film, Gosling, has shared that he too tackled some of the action sequences himself.

And the concept also seemed to have inspired Waddingham, as she revealed in a recent interview that she was determined to perform her own stunts in the film but ended up injuring herself in the process.

During a recent appearance onThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert,actressHannah Waddinghamopened up about performing her own stunt in the upcoming filmThe Fall Guy.When asked about her participation in honoring stunt performers, she shared that although she was not supposed to, she did manage to land a few punches in the film.
“But it was lovely because they kept extending and broadening my part,”she said, as she explained that she could not reveal much about it. However, the Emmy-winning actress hinted at a fight sequence involving her and another actor in the final 15 to 20 minutes of the movie.

Waddingham admitted her dissatisfaction with not being able to perform her part of the action sequence and expressed her wish to do it herself. Her determination led to her sustaining injuries during the filming process, which she proudly referred to as her“badge of honor.”
“I was complaining that just because I’m a girl doesn’t mean I can’t get involved with the shizzle. So I was like. ‘I would like to punch him, please—So, I really smacked it to him and see all these scars here. I have wounds. The Fall Guy scars.”
