Who knew growing alongside a wolf would be dangerous? Well, Josh Brolin and his younger brother certainly didn’t. From living alongside a wolf on a ranch to starring in several iconic Hollywood movies, Brolin’s personal life has been nothing short of a movie.

During his younger days, theAvengers: Endgamestar lived on a ranch in the Adelaida area of Paso Robles. Raised by his mother Jane Cameron Agee, the actor recalled a harrowing experience involving his younger brother and a wolf!

Jane Cameron Agee was a wildlife activist who had a deep love for animals. While growing up on the ranch, the family even had a wolf that would live in a closed-off area nearby.
While sitting alongside Graham Bessinger in aninterview, Brolin talked about how that wolf nearly cost his brother’s life when an accident happened. The incident was quite harrowing, as Brolin recalled during his talks.

Brolin’s brother was 6 years old, the wolf was hungry, and Josh Brolin was helping the ranch helper.The perfect tragedy could have happened that day. However, it was because of a certain ex-con man that Brolin’s brother was pulled to safety.
There was a wolf that had been let out of the cage and let run in the garden. There was just this old-school typical ’70s fence and it was crappy. My mom let the wolf run around. At 6 years old, he walked along the edge of the fence and the wolf jumped up.

He further continued,
Grabbed his leg and pulled him down. I was planting flowers with this ex-con named Norman who lived on the ranch. We looked, we heard the screaming. I think I was 10 at the time and Norman jumped the fence and [he] kicked that wolf away from my brother and pulled him in.

Things could have been a lot worse if Norman hadn’t been around to protect Josh Brolin and his younger brother. However, what happened later seemed to be quite over-the-top for the Brolin family.

With his mother being an animal activist, Jane Cameron Agee was prepared to shoot anyone who attempted to harm the wolf in any way. The scenes were quite dramatic and overwhelming.

As Brolin was telling the tale, he revealed that as soon as Norman kicked the wolf off of his younger brother, that’s when James Brolin [their father] arrived. Naturally, he was quite shocked and that shock quickly turned into anger.
As the interview continued further, theSicarioactor revealed that when his father wanted to kill the wolf for harming his son, his wife (Brolin’s mother) came in the way and threatened to shoot him!

And my dad came home almost at the same time. Went in there and confronted my mom and my dad wanted to shoot the wolf. My mom said ‘I’ll kill you if you shoot the wolf’ and meant it.
Talk about a rough childhood.Josh Brolin’syounger brother had to get 60 stitches in his leg due to the injury sustained during the whole incident. However, it seems that it all went away as a bad memory.
