Animal Crossing: New Horizons' major 2.0 update is finally here and with it come a bunch of new incredible changes.
There are new villagers, new items, new amiibo cards, gyroids and most importantly, the return of Brewster and The Roost.
The return of The Roost means players will be able to sip coffee with the coffee aficionado pigeon and, most importantly, your friends and a range of villagers and special characters.

How to Have Coffee With Friends at The Roost

Open your gates and invite them to your island the usual way at the airport. Once they arrive, drag them to The Roost and purchase a cup of joe to share with them.
How to Have Coffee With Villagers and Special Characters at The Roost
There are a couple of ways this can happen.
First, Villagers and other characters can randomly stop by The Roost whilst you’re there and then, you may enjoy a cup of coffee with them.
The second ways is by inviting them using Amiibo Cards. To use this method, you’ll first need to acquire the Amiibo Cards themselves, although difficult to find, they can be purchased from a range of different retailers or on eBay if it’s a specific character you’re after.
After that, you need to head to the yellow phone that’s at the left hand side of the coffee shop. By clicking the phone, you’ll be prompted to scan an Amiibo, after this your chosen Villager or special character will come and join you!
