It will put your skills to the test and will make you want to level up your characters and weapons before you even think of challenging it again. Going in blind for this fight will result in your team getting wiped within seconds.

So, here is acomplete guide to help you beat Chromatic Demineur in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
Where To Find Chromatic Demineur?
You can find the Chromatic Demineur in The Continent, the overworld. Before challenging it, you will need tounlock Esque’s Flying ability, as it is needed to get to this boss.
The fastest way to get to it is to fly from the Forgotten Battlefield’s northern entrance. You should spot a broken bridge in front of you.

On the right of the bridge, you should spot Chromatic Demineur in an area surrounded by sea kelp.Fly directly at it or walk up to the boss to start the fight.
How To Prepare For The Chromatic Demineur Fight
The Chromatic Demineur is weak against Ice damage. However, the weak spot that you should go after is its mine instead of directly attacking the Nevron.
Almost every attack of the Chromatic Demineur will hit you like a truck, so if your party isn’t sufficiently leveled, you may expect them to get one-shotted.

Luckily, it only has a few moves, so it’s easy to learn their tell and dodge. Once you get used to it, defeating the Chromatic Demineur shouldn’t be an issue.
Here are the best party members, skills, and the list of its attacks to help you get ready for this fight:

Best Party Members
For this fight in particular, set upa party with the members who have the highest levels on your team so that they can take hits. Or if you are confident with your parry skills, you can take characters that do the highest damage.
My team consisted of level 63 Lune, level 67 Monoco, and level 68 Verso. In this team comp, my main damage dealer was Verso. Lune and Monoco played the roles of support.
Starting withVerso, I used a level 15Cruleram. While the weapon’s level is low, its element is ice, which is handy when doing counterattacks. The skills that I used the most were Perfect Recovery, From Fire, and Assault Zero.
Next, forLune, I used a level 15Potierimfor its ice element. Her primary role in this fight will be to keep the team alive. So, you should equip the following skills: Rebirth, Revitalization, and Healing Light.
You candefeat a Bourgeonto have a chance of obtaining Potierim as a drop.
Finally, forMonoco, the skills you should use are Pelerin Heal as a backup support spell. Aside from that, Chevalière Ice and Stalact Punches are skills you’re able to bring for ice damage.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: All Monoco Skill Locations
Let me tell you where you can find your enemies' feet. No, it’s not on that website.
The weapon that you should use with Monoco isChromaro. If you don’t have it, use your highest-leveled weapon, which in my case was a level 15Nusaro.
Best Skills
Even though these are the best skills for this fight, they are only good if they connect and Chromatic Demineur dodges a lot. As such, you have a better chance of dealing damage by aiming and attacking.
But regardless of whether you use the damaging skills, the support skills should come in handy nonetheless.

Chromatic Demineur Attack Breakdown
Chromatic Demineur does 3 moves, and all of them do very high damage. If you are facing this enemy for the first time or aren’t comfortable parrying, it is highly advisable that you spend the first few turns dodging to get a better idea of its parry timings.
Once you have your parry timings down, this fight becomes very easy and is only a matter of waiting for your turn.
Smashing Target with a 3-Hit Combo
Chromatic Demineur raises its naval mine and brings it down on any character. Next, it spins and swings the mine twice.
Dodge or Parry.
Wave of Fire
Chromatic Demineur charges a fire attack by raising its arm. It then slams the ground to unleash a massive wave of fire.
Pay attention to the sound cue and parry when the hand is midway before hitting the ground.
Unleashing Inner Fire
Chromatic Demineur charges its mine and slams it on the ground. This move can deal up to 20K damage, which is powerful enough to kill almost anyone it hits in a single hit.
How To Beat The Chromatic Demineur
To defeat Chromatic Demineur, you must shot its mine whenever it is your turn. This fight can be rather slow compared to most other fights, as you’re able to’t rely on your character’s skills as much since this boss dodges them quite frequently.
The good thing is that Chromatic Demineur only has 3 moves. So even if you do end up defeated, a couple more tries, and you should be able to get used to all its moves and have your parries ready.
The easiest move to parry is its 3-Hit Smashing combo. The wave of fire is doable after some practice, and Inner Fire attack is something that you are better off dodging at the last possible second.
verify you equip Ice weapons on your characters, as doing counterattacks and aim attacks will deal more damage as compared to when you hit Chromatic Demineur with normal weapons.
Additionally, make sure to rest before starting this fight, as there is a chanceyou will need all your Revive and Health Tints if Lune dies during the fight.
During your turn, instead of immediately using an item, you should spend your AP on aim-attacking the boss. Once you are out of AP, use an item to make the most out of your turn.
Practice a bit, and with enough counterattacks and pistol fires, you will surely be able to defeat the Chromatic Demineur.
Chromatic Demineur Rewards
Upon defeat, these are the rewards that Chromatic Demineur drops:
Angerim is a weapon for Lune that does Fire damage. At level 33, it has A scaling for Defense, S for Luck, and 3293 power. Lune has some pretty powerful skills, like Wildfire, Fire Rage, and Hell, so it is always nice to have a fire weapon that goes with them.
With Angerim, at level 4, your Base attacks apply 2 burns per Fire Stain. At level 10, you generate a Fire Stain at the start of each turn, and finally, at level 20, Burn damage increases by 30% for each Fire Stain you have on you.
If you find that this weapon isn’t the one that works best with Lune for you, then you could also go forBraselim. At level 33, it has different scalings and slightly more power. Braselim has A for Vitality, S for Luck, and 3390 power.
