There are a couple of essential preparations to be made that will make this fight a lot easier. Firstly, you need to ensure you have some Shock and Chill resistance.
The ideal way I would suggest doing this is bysetting yourself up with the Ochre Armor set and then usingShock-Quelling Powderto remove shock status and add resistance to shock when needed. However, you may go with theGaleguard Beastmaw Armorand someBody-Warming Powderif you prefer.
Secondly, as this fight is fought against an enemy that is constantly on the move, and hard to land consistent hits on,I would highly suggest you unlock theComposureskill,as this will allow you to chain attacks with the freedom to dodge, making it more likely you may land combo finishers and stagger the dragon.
Then lastly, I would suggest using a Spirit that doesn’t rely on landing a blow, as timing this is a nightmare. Instead,I would consider the Gore-Eyed Daoist,as their Raging Blood attack allows you to create an AOE buff zone on the battlefield, and then you may make Kang-Jin-Loong come to you.
Players could also considercompleting the Drunken Pig Questin chapter two anddefeating Fubanto gain the Wind Tamer Vessel. As this will allow you to increase damage resistance and can be used for a quick knockdown. However, I wouldn’t say it’s absolutely necessary.
How to Defeat Kang-Jin-Loong
When you step onto the frozen lake, this slippery dragon will show themselves, and the fight will burst to life. They will immediately come after you with one of their slithering head-on attacks which are common throughout this fight. When their head comes near you, time your dodge to get out of the way.

They will likely follow this up with a lightning claw attack, which will see them strike the ground with each claw, causing a lightning surge. In this instance you’ll want tododge left and through the first strike to also avoid the second.
After this initial exchange, you should get a good opportunity when they are at ground level to use the immobilization spell to get some good shots in.
They will likely make use of one of their more devastating attacks after this, which is their tail slam attack. Then, every now and again, Kang-Jin-Loong will also use a lightning strike attack where they willopen the heavens and summon lightningin different areas of the arena. This effectively acts like small AOE pillars dotted around the arena, and you’ll want to be constantly on the move to avoid these.
Then finally,the dragon has a whirlwind attackwhere they will spin rapidly to get you caught up in a tornado that will send you skyward. This will stagger for a long time and leave you open to a devastating attack,so be sure to back offif you see them turn into a draconic Beyblade.
This is more or less everything that this ice-cold killer can throw at you throughout this fight, but the moveset isn’t the biggest issue here. It’s that the dragon is always on the move and has no limbs to telegraph their attacks clearly.
The key to success here is toalways be stringing together combos in the hope of landing finishers, as they will occasionally fall to the ground and leave themselves open to a flurry of attacks.
Plus, you’ll want tomake the most of your Immobilization spellto hold them in place when they are at ground leveland yourCloud Stepspell for easy staggerswhile avoiding their more tricky attacks to dodge consistently.
