Summer 2023 is bringing plenty of new shows for anime fans to enjoy. While many of these series are more action-oriented, there’s a gem for those seeking a light-hearted slice-of-life anime with a touch of romance. Horimiya is returning with a brand new series, Horimiya: The Missing Pieces, a delightful series that promises to warm your heart just like its previous installment. However, behind their everyday facades lie unexpected surprises. Hori, the responsible and popular student, and Miyamura, the introverted and tattooed young man, form an unlikely connection that sets off a journey of their budding romance.
Release Schedule For Horimiya: The Missing Pieces
The first episode of Horimiya: The Missing Pieces is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, July 1.For Japanese fans, local networks like TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 will air the new episode, whileCrunchyrollhas licensed the show for international release.
In Japan, the release time for the Horimiya is 11:30 PM PM JST, while Crunchyroll has not yet announced the release time for the show. However, the streaming platform usually airs the shows one hour after their release in Japan, so here’s the timing it will probably follow in different locations in Japan.
It was officially confirmed that Horimiya: The Missing Pieces will run for thirteen episodes, similar to the original series, with each episode released every week. This means that the new installment will provide non-stop entertainment and heart-filled episodes for around three months.
The anime adaptation of Horimiya: The Missing Pieces features a talented cast of voice actors who bring the beloved characters to life. Kyouko Hori is voiced by Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna Yuuki in Sword Art Online), while Izumi Miyamura is portrayed by Kouki Uchiyama (Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Academia). The voice cast also includes Remi Ayasaki as Mao Ichimichi, Seiichirou Yamashita as Tooru Ishikawa, and Reina Kondou as Sakura Kouno. Given the experience that each voice actor carries, we are sure to see great vocal performance.
Behind the scenes, Horimiya: The Missing Pieces benefits from the expertise of direction by Masashi Ishihama, known for his work on Persona 5: The Animation and the series is produced by CloverWorks. The series compilation comes from Takao Yoshioka, with character designs by Haruko Iizuka and music composed by Masaru Yokoyama.
