Unlike many popular superhero franchises,The Boyshas taken a different and more realistic approach to the genre, exploring how power and influence can corrupt people. One of the prime examples of this is Homelander, the show’s main antagonist, played by Antony Starr.

Since season 1, Homelander has been an unstable and malevolent figure, viewing himself as superior and above everyone else. He met his match in the show’s second season, in the form of Storefront, who even managed to unsettle him with her propaganda.
Stormfront Shook the Leader of The Seven with Dark Propaganda inThe BoysSeason 2
The BoysSeason 2 brought a significant shift by introducing a new character in the Seven, Stormfront, portrayed byAya Cash. Modeled after the first successful supe from comics, Stormfront emerged as one of the main antagonists of the season.
The showrunner argued that her belief in racial supremacy would deeply resonate with contemporary audiences as the series took a darker and more politically charged direction.

Stormfront’s character revealed multiple layers of dysfunction as the season progressed. She used her position to advance her absurd white supremacist agenda, including attempting to sway Ryan into the white genocide conspiracy theory.
In Episode 8 of Season 2, she told him about the supposed threats to the white race, while training him to use his powers. However, the attempt seemingly didn’t sit well with the Seven leader, who actually appeared unsettled with this particular aspect of Stormfront’s ideology.

Fans noticed the same in a brief clip shared onInstagramfrom the Season 2 episode.“Homelander was like, wtf is she talking about,”one fan said in the comment section, reflecting how even he was taken aback by her extreme beliefs.

Many others also highlighted howAntony Starr’sHomelander does not care about such things, as he believes himself to be superior and above all. However, despite that, Stormfront had a significant hold on the character, so much so that even her death left a lasting impact on his state of mind.
