As you collectField Guide Pagesin The Grand Staircase, there is a locked room that will require you to find the Key of Admittance to access it inHogwarts Legacy. The location of this item is not immediately obvious, and might take a bit of searching to find.

The Key of Admittance can be found in a room that is only accessible later in the game, unless you use a little trick to reach it early. Here’s how you can find the Key of Admittance regardless of where you are in the main story.
Where To Find The Key Of Admittance
In order to find the Key of Admittance, you willneed to haveaccess to Headmaster Black’s Office.In the main story, this room will become available to you inThe Polyjuice Plot Quest, right before Niamh Fitzgerald’s Trial. You can either wait until you complete this quest, or there is another way to reach his office early in the game.
To do this, start byheading to the Quad Courtyard Floo Flamein The Grand Staircase section of Hogwarts. Then, mount your broom and start making your way to thevery top of The Grand Staircase, until you reach the small three pillars jutting out from the roof, shown in the image above.You’ll be able to land here on the staircase, where there will be two outside entrances that you can access. You will need to have Alohomora to unlock these.
First,unlock the door at the very top of the staircase next to the stained-glass window.This will give you access to Headmaster Black’s secret office, where the Key of Admittance will be hidden inside.Pick it up from the desk inside the room.

Where To Find The Lock For The Key Of Admittance
Now you’ll want to find the locked door that the Key of Admittance can be used on. This can be found indoors at thetop of The Grand Staircase, nearby toHeadmaster Black’s Office.You’ll want to begin at theTrophy Room Floo Flame.
Follow the path on the rightuntil you reach the very end of the hallway in front of the locked gate. Use Alohomora to open this up if you have not already done so, and then head up the stairs until you arrive at a door. Enter through here, and go to the right to find anornate locked door.Approach this, anduse the Key of Admittance to unlock it.
There will be a large chest at the bottom here that holds aLegendary Gear item.At the top of the stairs will be aField Guide Page for The Quill of Acceptance and Book of Admittance.
