One of the most anticipated features ofHogwarts Legacyis the ability to fly around the vast map on a broomstick. However, this luxury is not immediately available to wizards and witches.

To pick up your first broom, you’ll be required to complete a few prerequisites beforehand. Afterwards, you’ll be able to begin flyingall around Hogwartsand far beyond.

How To Unlock The Flying Class

Before you may unlock the Flying Class to obtain your broom, you’ll need to complete a few prerequisite quests. This includes’Professor Hecat’s Assignment 2', where you’ll need to cast Incendio 5 times on enemies, and use the dodge roll 10 times to avoid attacks.You’ll gain access to this quest once you complete’Tomes and Tribulations', one of the many Main Quests needed to continue the story.

There is no required location for you to finish these tasks for Professor Hecat’s Assignment 2, so you can approach any enemy that you wish to practice Incendio and dodge rolling on.If you have joined Crossed Wands, the secret dueling club, you can use this to complete your assignment easily.

When you’ve completed the Professor’s task and successfully learned Expelliarmus, you’ll unlock the next quest,‘Jackdaw’s Rest’.For this, you’ll just need tomeet Jackdaw at the Forbidden Forest and take out the enemies inside the cave.You’ll then want tofind the missing pagesinside here andsolve a few puzzlesbefore being able to move on. Upon completion of this quest, you’ll finally have access to the Main Quest for’Flying Class'.

How To Get Your First Broom

To get your first broom,begin the ‘Flying Class’ Main Quest.You’ll be introduced to Madam Kogawa, your Professor for the course.

Completing this quest is relatively simple, as you will just need tofly through the labeled rings around the school groundson your broom. Return to the courtyard when you’re finished, and you can wrap up the class after a short cutscene.

Now that you’ve completed your prerequisites, you canhead to Hogsmeadeto purchase your first broom.Make your way to Spintwitch’s Sporting Needstowards the south of the map. Approach Albie Weekes, where you canchoose from five different broom options.Each will cost you600 Galleon, so verify to save up first before visiting the shop.
