Hell Is Us is an action-adventure game with strong similarities toDeath Stranding. The player takes on the role of Remi, a former soldier who travels to the country of Hadea, which has been overrun by monsters.

The trailers for Hell Is Us have been strange, and the one shown at theState of Playis no exception. Remi is shown meeting mysterious characters who are guiding him through the horrors of Hadea.
Nacon had previously revealed that Hell Is Us is low on UI, with players forced to actuallylisten to NPCsand audio recordings to find out where they’re going. As such, it makes sense that there are lots of people to communicate with.

While previous trailers were big on showing off the fast-paced melee combat and the uses of Remi’s drone, the new Hell Is Us focuses on the story, or rather, the secret of the main character’s screwed-up memories, as they hunt for their lost family in a dangerous land.
The most recent trailer was light on action, but big on atmosphere. The dark world of Hell Is Us looks like it’s going to be a joy to explore, even if it’s not meant to be an open-world experience. While theDeath Stranding comparisonsare inevitable, the gameplay looks like it’s anything but, and if the story makes even a small lick of sense, then it will be a big improvement over Kojima’s walking sim.
