While Jinbe is celebrated for his loyalty towards the hero, there’s another fanboy in the making. With the release of chapter 1126, fans on X discussed Bartolomeo’s loyalty towards the future Pirate King. Some even drew parallels between him and the Knight of the Sea.

Bartolomeo is one of the sworn allies of the Straw Hat Pirates in theOne Pieceseries. Apart from being a loyal and devoted worshipper of Straw Hat Pirates, he is also one of the most powerful characters. As a possessor of theBari-Bari-No-Mi, he wields this power to protect Bellamy and his close ones. While his obsession and devotion is a running gag in the series, he takes it to extremes.
Furthermore, his admiration for the Straw Hat captain has become somewhat of an obsession. From quashing badmouths to worshipping Straw Hats’ bounty posters, he is nothing short of a fanboy. However, his loyalty test in therecent chapterof the manga series had fans drawing parallels between him and Jinbe on X.

An X user@writingpaninishared a post drawing similarities between Jinbe and Bartolomeo in their loyalty towards Straw Hats. The user also clarified how Bartolomeo referred to Luffy as the future Pirate King in front of Shanks.

The gap in experience between them is huge, but Bartolomeo still showed he’s got the guts worthy of being one of Luffy’s underlings.
I don’t think you may compare them since Bart never really joined Luffy’s crew. He’s just a follower.

Both characters are the same, yet different. They hold the similarity in their loyalty towards the Straw Hat Pirates. They’re different in their demonstration of that loyalty itself. However, nothing beats Jinbe’s protectiveness towards his captain.

Jinbe is the helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates in the series written byEiichiro Oda. Apart from being one of the strongest fishmen, he differs from most of them. His vision of harmony between fishmen and humans sets him apart from his race. His zeal to protect and support his captain stands in contrast to Bartolomeo’s obsession.
In contrast to Bartolomeo, Jinbe displays his unwavering faith when he blocks Akainu’s magma punch to protect his captain. His leaving Big Mom is another crucial moment that sets him apart from Bartolomeo in terms of his allegiance. It further proves his strength asone of the warlords.

While Bartolomeo’s actions outline his obsession as Luffy’s fanboy, he plays a pivotal role in the series. His comparison to Jinbe falls flat, considering both characters respect the captain in their different ways. While Jinbe is an essential crew member, Bartolomeo is a follower and an integral part of Luffy’s second crew.
