The Penguinhas received a TV-MA rating
Fans went wild after it was previously revealed that the highly anticipatedThe Penguinreceived a TV-MA rating. In a recent interview withRotten Tomatoes, Farrell explained how this rating will allow the showrunners to explore more violence,
“I hear that we’re going to be allowed to kind of do an R-rated version, perhaps, which would be nice to explore the violence that could permit, perhaps, and the darkness that could allow us to explore. So, all of those things.”
Apart from Farrell, the series also features Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone. The production was slowed down due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike but resumed in late November 2023. The series, which will consist of eight episodes, will be released on Max in late 2024 with Lauren LeFranc as the showrunner.
